Hi friends! Here is a photo of the farm from last fall when the big Pin Oak was turning red and the Maple was turning yellow. I really think I'm a Summer Person - then Spring comes next as my second favorite season, then Fall - I do love Autumn but it's so much the "end" of Summer and the beginning of the dreaded long, cold, windy, WET Winter.
Today we took DH to the hospital for a 1 year follow-up colonoscopy. He had his first "scope" last year at my insistance and they found a walnut sized tumor. He went through surgery good, then surgery on his prostate. They found a small polyp and removed it today and took 2 biopsies. I do hope they come out clear.
Sorry for the graphic stuff - but I tell people about this so they'll get their colonoscopy. He had *NO* symptoms from that cancer. If you wait until a symptom, it's too late.
While I was biding my time in the waiting room I worked on my Rainbow Colored - Rico Cotton - Lucy Granny Stripe Blanket. Everyone looked at it and several people engaged me in conversation about it. It's coming along and getting bigger! I can't wait to get done and get the border going. I've seen so many impressive borders that I want to do one as pretty as everyone elses!
OK, time to have some dinner and watch Survivor and some of the other new Fall TV shows!

ReplyDeleteLovely photo, traditionally Autumn pity the cold wet weather does follow, but then we wouldn't have an excuse to make gorgeous blankies ;) Good Luck with those results i know waiting is the most drawn out emotional time, my thought's are with you both xx

ReplyDeleteThat picture is gorgeous. Yesterday, when I was sitting on the couch, crocheting my blanket, I was actually dreaming that we were living in an house/farm just like that, surrounded by beautiful trees in awesome fallcolours. Just like in your picture. Thank you for showing it.
ReplyDeleteHi Manda, you're right that the Autumn gives us an excuse to work on our blankies. In summer I feel guilty working on something inside with all the sun going on outside. :-)
