Starching Hearts & Snowflakes

Hello all!  I hope you're having a great weekend! We are just taking it easy but the one thing I wanted to do today was to starch a pile of crocheted Scandinavian Heart Ornaments of my own design.  If you want to download my free PDF instruction sheet, click <3 <3 <3 <-- there.
I also had crocheted 5 snowflakes and starched them too.  They're much harder to lay out on the board, you have to pin all the points.
I never tire of making these hearts.  You can do one in 20 minutes or less.  They *REALLY* dress up a Christmas tree with the pops of red against the green.  I can imagine they'd look nice on a white flocked tree too.
I used ecru for one of the snowflakes but I definitely like the bright white ones better.

So, what are you all doing this next week?  Are you all set for Christmas (or whatever you do or don't celebrate :-)  I have a few little things to pick up for the kids and some surprises for Dayle and then I'm home free.  But the important things are done.

I've been crocheting on my granddaughter's pink hat, I'd like to get it done for her as it's cold here and I can't wait to get a photo of the 2 of them wearing their hats.  Maybe on Christmas I can do that.

Well, I just popped in for a bit to say hi but I will get back to my hat-making.

  1. Very nice Teresa, and I see you are not relaxing yet! Oh, I guess that crochet is actually relaxing for us isn't it unless you have a deadline. I'm sure you'll get your granddaughter's hat done in time.
