Green Buds Tightly Furled

Thanks for coming by for a visit! Do you like the new decor?  The clock on my header is one I painted many years ago - the little farm scene on the bottom is a folk art version of our farm, with our 2 horses, 3 goats, our 1 sheep and a bunch of baby goats.  The barn isn't red yet in that painting.  I have changed my blog title from "Teresa Kasner's Crochet" to what you see above.  I realized that my blog is not just about crochet, that's just a part of what I talk about - I hope I don't lose any of my readers because of that -- :-)

I just took this nice fuzzy photo as I arrived home in the poor light of dusk - but our Daphne Odora is shedding old leaves and budding out for Spring and oh-lala, the scent of this shrub's flowers is the most amazing aroma and it's the first of them to bloom.  I can't wait for the pretty flowers to show themselves!!  I pick several bouquets of them and bring them in to scent the air.
The photo below is from the same shrub last year with the flowers in bloom. I can't wait for these!
The bud and the arrival of Snow Drops, Daffodils, Tulips and all the other Spring Flowers give me hope.  I'm not a big fan of winter - the holidays give us something to keep us busy and after they're over it's just "hang in there until Spring".

It's coming.. it is.. :-)

On another note, I have been given a blog award from Jane at Jane's Journal called the "Liebster Blog" - thanks, Jane!  She is a jeweler and makes great bead jewelry.
This award is slightly different as it is given to crafty-blogs which have less than 300 readers, to encourage more people to visit you and see your handmade items.  You are asked to then pass it on to 3-5 other crafty blogs.  And after looking through all my blogs there is only one with an Etsy shop.. so I only have one, but it's a GREAT one!  Please click on the link below and visit her blog.

  1. I love your new look Teresa. I am trying to talk my sister into opening an etsy shop with me. She usually has a bit more time on her hands. I think it sounds fun. Love your shop.

  4. I love the new look! It's so cheerful! I'm jealous of your pretty bush. I have black thumbs. Plants shriek and cower in my presence, so I don't have many. But I love the pretty flowers!

  7. Teresa, thank you so much for the shot of spring. It is mighty cold here in Ohio. The kiddos have cabin fever and are ever so rowdy to get out but it is only in the single digits here. I love the new look of your blog as well. Keep up the good work and congrats on your award.
