Happy Halloween & Hubby Update

Boo!  This pumpkin paper globe lantern is one of my favorite Halloween decorations.  Isn't he cool?

I just wanted to let you all know that hubby came through his hernia surgery fine and he's staying the night in the hospital so they can keep an eye on him.  We got up at 5 am to get him in there by 7 am.  The surgeon came to talk to me afterwards and said he actually had 3 hernias!  One actually had the intestine sticking out through it.  Gadzooks!  He put a webbing over them to hold them in and stitched him up.. he'll have to be good for 6 weeks.  No climbing ladders with chainsaws, no blowing leaves off the roof.. you get the picture.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and kind comments.

Tomorrow the pumpkins go back in the cabinet and out come the turkeys!

((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. Glad your hubby came through well. Hopefully, he's home soon.

I have turkeys out all year round. We call them neighbors. *grin*

Don't open the door to any strange goblins tonight.

  4. You must be as happy as your pumpkin lantern that your hubby did well. So happy he is fine, now you just have to keep him still. Good luck with that. Now you can sleep well tonight. xoRobin❤

  5. Hi Teresa. I posted earlier from my daughter's house but was signed in under her blog. Don't know if it came through. I am so happy that your husband is now resting from his surgery! Just keep him comfy and off the ladders!!

  6. Great news Teresa! He sounds like a man who can't be kept still for too long - as others say, go hide those ladders and the chainsaw ASAP! Love the lantern! Di xx

  11. Glad everything went well. Do you think he'll behave like he's supposed to? Mine wouldn't. I have to fuss (translates to nag) him. Hope his recovery goes smoothly!

  13. I'm so glad to hear that hubbie came through with flying colors. Keeping him off the ladder is going to be the challenge now. And by the way, that includes you too. No ladders with your foot my friend. Yes, I too am over the pumpkins and ready to bring out some gobble-gobbles. Did you know you are a wiz at WWF? I'm embrassed that I'm doing to bad, but it's fun and good spelling practice to keep the brain active. Nothing really to post today, but I'm on my last row of the "hate" blanket and will be glad to have that one over it. Hope to post it soon.

  17. I've just realised my last comment didn't post because my phone won't do the word varification thing! :-(

So glad your husband is alright, as long as he takes it easy for a few days he'll be right as rain (and getting them turkeys out for you!!)

    Take care :-)
