I know a lot of you wonderful friends that read this blog were a bit worried about my dear husband yesterday when he climbed 25 feet up a ladder leaned against our huge dead maple tree and was using a chainsaw up there to try to cut the tree down. I was worried too. Each time I heard a crack, crash and thunk I would go out to see if was a branch.. or hubby. The last one I watched him cut landed on the garage barn. So, I say... dear... why don't I call the local woodcutters? He spent a whole day climbing up and down that ladder with a chainsaw and sawing off the lower branches. After the whole day.. he gave in and let me call them. This photo is hubby.
This next photo is the professional. :-) They came at around 11 am to look over the situation and came back a half hour later with a backhoe and a very large chainsaw.
I actually took a video of the cutting and falling of the tree - blogger won't let me load it for you, but I did upload it to my Facebook page, it's rather loud!! LOL! This is the "After" photo - the loggers cut up some of the bigger parts and piled them up for us.
I hope I haven't bored you with our dead tree story! :-)
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
