Easter Decs & Packages Arrive!

Spring has arrived, according to the calendar.  But it's snowing here! SNOW!  Nevertheless, I spread my Easter tablecloth on the table yesterday and set out a little basket of my crocheted eggs (I need to make MORE!).  Pattern on this post.
Yesterday it was raining.. today it's snowing.. even the schools are closed!  Below is my table-scape, but I just realized I need to put my vintage glass Easter Bunny out!
I made this little ceramic Easter bunny in 7th grade, you fill him with cotton and pull it out of his tail to use.
Easter decs with snow in the background?  Sheesh!
Yesterday the mail lady brought me my cross stitch package from Alicia Paulson at Posy Gets Cozy!  She is a wonderful blogger and craftswoman - she makes great embroidery kits and patterns.  Now she's selling supplies like the hoop and needles below.  I got her last kit but didn't have a nice hoop, now I have the supplies to get both projects done. :-)
The cover page of the kit.
The finished sampler. (Alicia did this one, of course!)
And just now the mail lady brought a nice box from my blog friend Meredith from the wonderful blog called "Mereknits".  She's been weaving scarves and wraps and I ordered this wonderful red cotton woven scarf...  Buddy was fascinated by the pretty blue tissue package!
The scarf is gorgeous!  Soft, cotton, bright red, it's so comfy around my neck!  Woo hoo!
Also in todays mail was a darling card from my friend Andrea!  She is so thoughtful, she sends me cards for all the holidays.. so sweet!  Thank you!
I certainly hope you're having nicer weather where you live.  I've heard from many of you that you're having sun and warmth.. lucky you is all I can say.  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Yes, we are very lucky with the weather in this part of the country! The little easter eggs are so cute! I need to make some of those! I love the shawl that Meredith made for you! I just got an obsession scarf that her sister Claudia made and I love it too! Two very talented sisters! Have a great day!~Hugs, Patti

  2. If it makes you feel any better, one year we had over a foot of snow on Easter Sunday. The joking rule around here is don't plant your garden until after Easter and then, after that, the sun will cook your veggies for you.

So i guess I'd better not be too boastful!!! :-) How exciting getting all those lovely things in the post. I had a big box of goodies waiting next door for me when I arrived home from my mum's on Monday.Love the bunny. Scarf looks cosy as well. Take care Anne x

  5. I hope you like the scarf, it is pretty perfect if it is cold enough for snow. Love the kit you bought, just when are you going to have time to do that? You are crazy busy.
    Hugs to you,
    Meredith

  6. Teresa, I have been reading/re-reading your last/this week posts because I didn't want to miss out on any of your news and views. (: The latest bear, your stitched necklaces, your bunny and eggs are all so beautifully made. And your photos are such a treat...the blossoms are stunning...and so encouraging in this crazy snowy weather we are having. Thanks for sharing. <3

  7. I know you don't want to hear it but yes, we have had spring for a while now! But the pollen has been and is very bad right now. I shudder to think what hurricane season will bring us this year though.

  8. OK, In my readings of your posts (since I've started reading you), I don't remember seeing Buddy before now. OMG...I'm in LOVE! LOOK at that sweet face! He's so questioning! I could stare at him forever! Tell him your crazy for dogs, bloggy friend sends him hugs! =) I also love your bunny with the cotton tail. My mom left one such bunny when she died and it was something I saved readily. But I had to throw him away last year when he showed up cracked and broken. I still don't know what happened...but it made me sad to part with it! Snow...craziness! We're covered in pollen rather than snow. Hugs to you.
