Little Drivers

Our son got this battery powered Jeep for the boys a while back, grandpa had charged the battery when they came to visit yesterday it was "drive time".  Look at those faces!  They were zooming all around - don't worry, the top speed is 0. :-)
Before they started driving, Caleb ran at full throttle and leaped into grandpa's lap.
Next up was Hayden jumping in grandpas lap.
Buddy did *not* like the car sounds, much to the amusement of the boys.
They decided to go on a road trip across the field.. this photo just cracks me up, fills me with grandmotherly pride.. my 2 baby-est grandkids.. adventuresome little men!
Grandpa went for an artsy shot with this one, getting a bit of pear blossom in the photo.
Travis, our youngest son, took this one and sent it to my phone.
Dayle saw the neighbor across the street struggling with some limbs he'd just pruned, so he took the tractor over and helped make short work of moving them for him.  The "guys" went with him and gramps gave them all a ride home in the bucket.  Boys.
We then all headed off to Dairy Queen for dinner.  Of course grandma had to buy the boys a chocolate milkshake.  Sluuuuuuurp!
 Yummm... sluurpppp....
Today I met my 2 sisters at the Macaroni Grill for my "birthday" lunch.. yep, I'm still celebrating.  My older sister Roberta gave me this adorable ceramic bowl, isn't it great?  My younger sister Denise bought me lunch along with the cute little hobnail vase she gave me.
The waitress sang happy birthday to me in Italian and gave me a choice of dessert for free, I chose deep chocolate gelato.  Yum!
After lunch we three sisters went to Sur La Table, a great kitchen store, and I bought a Le Creuset frying pan in red for Denise's daughter who is graduating Law School in 10 days!  I'm so proud of her!  My brother's son is also an attorney, so now we have 2 in the family.  This saturday we're attending the graduation of our Daughter-in-law Beth, as she gets her degree in Accounting.  Life is so busy around here!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. So much in one blog! I loved seeing the boys jumping into Grandpa's lap and their faces when they went on the cart!! I just loved the one with the little cart and little boys in the middle of the hay field...and the bowl was just lovely. So much joy in your life. Joan

  4. I think I enjoyed the boys 'playtime' about as much as they obviously did. Isn't it great seeing them having such fun. Mmmm that dessert looks good - maybe just a little bit too good !!!

  5. Such cute grandsons....love the little car. They were in kid heaven driving around in that. Wow, you really have a beautiful farm. The birthday lunch sounds fun too. Have a great week.

  6. Looks like a everyone had a GREAT day! love the pictures of the boys in the field.. that was a great shot! but all of your pictures turn out very nice.. my camera is on the blink and it drive me nuts. I hope I get a new one for mother's day.... I been dropping hints left and right so we will see!

  9. Those boys are so adorable. I bet Grandma's and Grandpa's is their favorite place to be. Macaroni Grill is one of my favorite places to eat. I love the shrimp with pine nuts and spinach, YUM!
    Have a wonderful day,

  10. How lovely to have all that space for your grandsons.

  11. Wow Teresa, you do have a busy life and all around you too. Busy little boys to scholastically achieving adult kids. I would be proud too!. Loved the jeep pics and the bucket ride!
Diary Queen one of my favorites....... YuMmY

  12. Hi Teresa I am envious of the space that you have for the children to play. When our two were young we did have a large garden but when we moved 17 years ago now we opted for a smaller garden. DH usually takes the boys to a nearby field when they visit!!!! I liked 'grandpa's' arty shot. :-) Anne x

  13. One of your best posts ever! I loved the commentary and the photos of your grandkids were AWESOME (yes, that was a cyber scream---)! How fun to have little ones around:)

  14. Ahhhh the boys in their jeep are adorable. Great images. but the intensive care nurse in my worries so much about little heads falling out and the thing tipping over.....my career ruins an awful lot of fun . My kids were forbidden to even drink from a fountain. Strep to the bone marrow and all those unlikely but witnessed disasters...it ruins ya.
Glad to see the kids having fun and normal happy endings

  15. Gorgeous boys and wonderful little jeep. They always look like they have the best fun with grandpa and grandma!! Love the chicken on the vase too.
family times are great times ☺♥

  16. Hi my friend....just wanted to tell you I did not {boo hoo} have the yummy Chinatown meal you suggested in SF because we never ate a meal there...we visited Chinatown but never around meal time...now I am wishing for it!!!
Love your sweet photos once again...I spy a darling red VW beetle by your barn....pure joy!
Happy belated birthday....keep celebrating as long as you can. xoxoxoox

  17. Parabéns pela família linda que você tem.
Que DEUS abeçoe sempre vocês todos.
Seus posts são sempre muito lindos.

  18. My husband's brother had one of those jeeps for his kids. It use to crack us up watching all the kids ride that thing around the back yard. I'm glad to see you are making the most of this birthday!

  19. I swear between you guys and Kris and her hubby. Those grandkids are keeping you all so young. What a fun way to spend your day. Have a great Mother's Day weekend. Remember, it's your day, so take it easy and enjoy your family. Can't you believe it. I finally posted where I've been.

I absolutely love comments and thank you so much for taking time to leave me a note. :-)
