Little Drivers

Our son got this battery powered Jeep for the boys a while back, grandpa had charged the battery when they came to visit yesterday it was "drive time".  Look at those faces!  They were zooming all around - don't worry, the top speed is 0. :-)
Before they started driving, Caleb ran at full throttle and leaped into grandpa's lap.
Next up was Hayden jumping in grandpas lap.
Buddy did *not* like the car sounds, much to the amusement of the boys.
They decided to go on a road trip across the field.. this photo just cracks me up, fills me with grandmotherly pride.. my 2 baby-est grandkids.. adventuresome little men!
Grandpa went for an artsy shot with this one, getting a bit of pear blossom in the photo.
Travis, our youngest son, took this one and sent it to my phone.
Dayle saw the neighbor across the street struggling with some limbs he'd just pruned, so he took the tractor over and helped make short work of moving them for him.  The "guys" went with him and gramps gave them all a ride home in the bucket.  Boys.
We then all headed off to Dairy Queen for dinner.  Of course grandma had to buy the boys a chocolate milkshake.  Sluuuuuuurp!
 Yummm... sluurpppp....
Today I met my 2 sisters at the Macaroni Grill for my "birthday" lunch.. yep, I'm still celebrating.  My older sister Roberta gave me this adorable ceramic bowl, isn't it great?  My younger sister Denise bought me lunch along with the cute little hobnail vase she gave me.
The waitress sang happy birthday to me in Italian and gave me a choice of dessert for free, I chose deep chocolate gelato.  Yum!
After lunch we three sisters went to Sur La Table, a great kitchen store, and I bought a Le Creuset frying pan in red for Denise's daughter who is graduating Law School in 10 days!  I'm so proud of her!  My brother's son is also an attorney, so now we have 2 in the family.  This saturday we're attending the graduation of our Daughter-in-law Beth, as she gets her degree in Accounting.  Life is so busy around here!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  12. Hi Teresa I am envious of the space that you have for the children to play. When our two were young we did have a large garden but when we moved 17 years ago now we opted for a smaller garden. DH usually takes the boys to a nearby field when they visit!!!! I liked 'grandpa's' arty shot. :-) Anne x

  14. Ahhhh the boys in their jeep are adorable. Great images. but the intensive care nurse in my worries so much about little heads falling out and the thing tipping over.....my career ruins an awful lot of fun . My kids were forbidden to even drink from a fountain. Strep to the bone marrow and all those unlikely but witnessed disasters...it ruins ya.
Glad to see the kids having fun and normal happy endings
