Seasons Change

I'm coming to you via my iPad for a change. We had our oldest grandsons for a sleepover on Saturday night. We took them out for dinner but mostly we just enjoyed hanging out and taking it easy. Gabriel had fun picking several bowls of sun-warmed ripe blackberries from vines here and there around the farm.

I'm still working on my shawl. It's great working with this yarn as the colors are very Autumnal and I'd like to wear it this fall.  The yarn is Deborah Norville Collection, Serenity Garden Yarn, it's 100% Microfiber and is very soft.  The color is "Gems".
I'm really enjoying a new game on my iPad called "Draw Something". Here is one of my sketches. You draw one of three words and your opponent tries to figure out what it is. Fun!!
I'm meeting my blog friend Gracie tomorrow for tea!! Photos to follow. I'm off to swim soon. I hope you're having a great day!! Hugs, Teresa :-)

  2. Beautiful colours, your shawl. Autumnal. It makes me want to go for some wool dying, it's self striping yarn? Groetjes, Gerda

  3. I LOVE the color and pattern of your shawl!! And I am wondering how your computer art game works...I might have to investigate :) My daughter just called the pest control folks to see if we can get rid of our yellow jackets so that we can pick the blackberry crop. Good blogging from your iPad :) See you tomorrow! Gracie xx

  6. Love the colours of the yarn - autumn is my favourite season. It will soon be time to go out to see if I can find some blackberries in the local hedgerows.

Looks like you all had a fun time dining out!

  7. Oh Teresa, that shawl is scrumptious! I BET you're enjoying it! I LOVE fall! The colors, the decor, the changing weather...it's my favorite time of year. That shawl will be perfect! Draw Something...I just saw that for the first time a few weeks ago! It looks fun. I don't have an iPad...my hubby does...but he doesn't share. Now, if I WERE to have an iPad, I can assure you, I would NEVER draw anything as cute as that peacock! That's amazing! Thanks for your sweet comments on my posts! Hugs, Annette

  9. That drawing is incredible! You are either using a stylus or you are ridiculously talented at drawing with your fingers. Well done regardless!

  11. So are you making blackberry cobbler for us to have with our coffee? Oh, how I wish that could happen! Your shawl is looking great. Don't you love it?! I know you will. Mine is my favorite that I've made EVER. Can't wait to wear it this fall too.

  12. Your shawl is looking good - those colours are working so well and I'm looking forward to seeing a pic of the finished item. Every time I see a pic of your DH he reminds me of someone I know but for the life of me I can't think of who it is - quite frustrating ! I don't think I play enough on my iPad as everyone else seems to be having more fun than me. I'm doing a one day course on everything you need to know about your iPad weekend after next and I'm really looking forward to that.

  14. Yummy, a blackberry cobbler would really hit the spot!
Wanted to let you know the package arrived Saturday. Everything was intact and the earrings are just perfect. I had planned to give one pair as a gift, but I think I will be selfish and keep them both, lol. I tried them on and will keep them for a special occasion. They are way too pretty to wear out in the yard while weeding. I did a post on them and gave people a head's up to visit your blog and check out your jewelry and art work.
Love your shawl, love the colors, that will come in handy on evenings when there is a chill in the air.....fall is right around the corner so I imagine it won't be long before you get to use it.
    Have a good week.
