Sunshine & Grandsons

Life has been full and busy of late.  Monday I attended my Daughters of the American Revolution meeting at the downtown Portland Red Lion - our speaker's ancestor had been a passenger on the SS Sultana, a sternwheeler carrying Civil War survivors home after the war and the boilers blew up and it sank in the Mississippi river - the loss of life was worse than the Titanic!  Learn more about it by clicking HERE.  Then that evening I presided over the annual meeting of the Friends of Multnomah Falls - and was elected to my 3rd term as president.  The photo below I just snapped - it's sunny right now!  Love love.
Sunday was busy.. Dayle helped the kids load the U-Haul truck with the last of their things at their house to move to the lower level of his brother's home in Vancouver.  I drove over once they'd got the truck there and hung out with them and we ordered pizza and watched the History channel together.  I snapped some shots of the boys with my iPhone, so fuzzy photo alert.  Gabriel was excited about starting some Taekwondo classes and donned his outfit to show me.  :-)  Michael is taking the classes too.
Gabe and Hayden spent hours building these lego things.. they were quite proud of them.
I asked Caleb to hold up my holiday crochet afghan project up for me to photograph, but mainly I wanted a photo of him.. curly top. :-)
When I looked at the photo, I decided we needed another one.. with a smile.. :-)  LOVE this kid.  He's the baby of the family.
Yesterday my sisters and I met for lunch and then I led them over to my Mac store where I was asked to help my older sister pick out a new MacBook laptop as her original one finally got full and was complaining to her.  I encouraged her to get one just like mine, with lots of room and power and a beautiful Retina display.  And she did!  She also got a Time Capsule as a wireless router and backup drive.  She's going to love this!

Today, hubby and I are going to take it easy and perhaps go out for lunch.  Time to breath. :-)  I hope you're having a good week!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. Always fun to know what up out your way. As always, busy, busy, busy. Hey.... I can't spot a fake smile a mile away with a "cheese" through "I'm not interested in doing this for you" grins. But, still he loves his grandma and I love those curls. Off to see what's up over with WWF.

Still riding, but it's getting cold out. Getting ready for 10 day with MIL in FL for turkey. Can you believe I got assigned the stuffing for 28 and get in on Wednesday night. Not sure how that's going to work. And I guess they don't know I'm off pretty much all "WHITE" or low, low carbs. It's working, but I really think it's the two hour biking that's doing it mostly.....
