Purple Hyacinth and Cozy Cairn

Our pair of purple hyacinths are in full bloom now and oh my goodness, do they ever smell wonderful!
What is funny is that they bloomed at a different rate, in the same window.  One of the blooms tipped over - so I used one of my big agates to prop it up. :-)
We had snow this morning.. but it was fleeting.
Buddy is cozy in his bed by the pellet stove.. he snuggles into one end of it, kinda cute.
I have to leave our warm, cozy home to head off in a few minutes to volunteer at Multnomah Falls.  Today will be fun as my best friend from 7th grade, Shirley, will be joining my younger sister, Denise, and I for lunch AND we'll be training her to volunteer at the falls, too!  Denise will be travelling a lot this summer and Shirley said she would become a volunteer and fill in for her!  I'll try to get some photos of the falls as I hear they are roaringly full.  They were all iced over last week!  OK, gotta jet.  Hope you're having a fun Thursday!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  5. Such a beautiful colour - the hyacinths are gorgeous. Buddy is so cute curled up there keeping snug. We have had our woodburner lit tonight as it has gone very cold and snow is threatened for the weekend. I usually love the snow but my family are going to be visiting for a family christening and I so hope everyone will make it. Love Anne x

  8. Ooh! My very favorite color! The hyacinths are gorgeous Teresa. Buddy looks comfy and cozy. Our Chloe was happy to get back in front of her fireplace last night too.

The falls were roaring when we went by yesterday and not one car in the parking area! I don't think I've ever seen that before. The rain was pouring down. (Dennis asked if I wanted to stop to see the falls like we usually do, but I declined!)

Advice please Miss Blogger expert-I can't post photos from my computer into blogger now. It worked before I went to Portland and it works from my iphone. I have photos on the computer that I wanted to post though that aren't on my iphone. Any ideas friend?

    Blessings,

    Betsy

  14. I can smell that Hyacinth right through my monitor! Yummmmmm! Every time...literally EVERY time I pass them on display in the market, I have to pick them up and breathe them in. I have a couple in my yard, but I look really silly if I get down on my hands and knees to get low enough to try to smell them...and then there's always the folly of watching me trying to get back up again! LOL Hope your week has been wonderful!!!! Hugs, Annette

  19. Lovely window filled with plants. I've never forced bulbs indoors before. Must give it a try one of these days. But because of the heat, we have tinted windows so don't get a lot of sun. And because of that, also now that it is in the 40's == it starts to feel like an icebox. I know it is much colder where you are but it feels very cold here even when it really isn't. Buddy sure looks comfy cozy and so cute in his little bed by the fire. Best wishes, Tammy
