Wildflowers & a Waterfall

On the way to my volunteer shift at Multnomah Falls I made note of a few places where I wanted to get some wildflower photos.  The Larkspur are looking lovely.
The Lupine are in bloom.
We've had such an early and warm (even hot) Spring that the Camas Lily is almost done!  All that is left is a bit of bloom at the very top of the stalk.  Oh well... next year.
Can you see how lush and green Multnomah Falls is in the early Spring?  Not as much water, either.  My friend Shirley volunteered with me, my sister Denise is on vacation in Virginia doing some sight-seeing.
When I arrived home I noticed that one of my Clematis is in bloom.. these flowers are amazing, aren't they?
I went up to Vista House today to do a review of the museum shop with 3 other people.  We got to go past the manned blockade and go down to VH in the middle of all the bulldozers and graders who are working on the road.  I thought I'd share with you a picture that almost no one will see, as I was one of the rare people allowed into the work site.
Tomorrow hubby and I are going to the Gresham Farmer's Market on it's opening day, to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables from our local farmers.  We are on a healthy eating regimen as of yesterday.  It will be fun to see what they offer.  Have a GREAT weekend!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  6. I love wildflowers too and am SO sad to hear I missed our native camas once again:( I cannot believe the effect this weather is having on our plants--although I can't complain much because I love it!
Do you know if Vista House will open up by harvest time?
    Blessings,

    1. Vista House will open on May 27th, Labor Day weekend. They are working on the viaduct around VH to beef it up and make it safer. They also worked on the road down to it. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  7. Such beautiful flowers-especially the purple! The Vista House is getting a face lift isn't it? My goodness, you're a lucky lady to be in on all of the excitement. We've been talking about diet changes here too. It's so hard to do isn't it? I do welll for a week or two and then fall back into old habits.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  17. Good for you starting good eating habits. I start but never stick with it. I guess it's because of all the "Cajun" food around here plus sweets are my weakness! I need lots of will power!!! Your photos are always stunning! I am getting very anxious for the Vista House to open and I don't even live there....that view is SPECTACULAR!
