Negotiating

Hello!  How are you doing?  We continue to have fair weather and I'm loving it.  Last year this flower below, a Bellflower, was growing up out of the gravel by our barn.  Kristi picked a stem for me and I asked her if the plant and roots were still there, she got the rest of the volunteer plant and I planted it in this pot.  Not only did we enjoy more blooms from the rescued plant, but it came back this year!  Isn't that cool?

Shhhh.. don't tell Kristi.. but I bought some colorful cotton as I want to do some fun colorful crochet work.  I got it from KnitPicks and it's Comfy Worsted which is 75% pima cotton and 25% acrylic.  Stay tuned for some results of this yarn.  It's so soft!!

They also have a new line called "Curio" - it's a cotton crochet thread for doilies and such.  I have gotten inspired by Betsy and Pammy Sue to do some colorful doily making.  Isn't it shiny and pretty?

Shiny, pretty, soft.. fun!

Yesterday we left home bright and early (for us) and headed to a car dealership in Forest Grove that had the car of my dreams.  Oh my goodness, it takes a long time to negotiate an agreement on a car.  Below are two of my photos that I converted to watercolors using the app "Waterlogue".  Yes, I was bored and I had run out of Scrabble and Words With Friends on my iPhone.. :-)

My pink rose.

Dayle and the salesman with the obligatory man thing of looking under the hood.  :-)

We came to an agreement, trading in the Thunderbird, and after mountains of paperwork were completed and 3 and a half hours in the dealership, we finally were ready to leave.  The guy showed us how to Sync my iPhone and the sound system in there ROCKS!  We started my favorites playlist and the first song was Alicia Keys singing "Girl on Fire".  I think the salesman was surprised by my eclectic music collection.  And it was booming, too.  :-)

Details?  It's a Ford Flex Limited, color - Ruby, it's got an EcoBoost 3.5 with a 6 speed automatic, charcoal leather interior with seating for 7 people!  Back up cameras, blind spot indicator light on the side view mirrors and all the bells and whistles.

An obligatory bunny shot.. I actually saw a big bunny and little bunny frolicking around in the back yard this morning.. round and round they went.  It was cute.  Well, time to pack up the swim bag and head to swimming with Gracie.  It's a gorgeous sunny day and I can't wait to drive off in the sunshine!  I hope you're having a wonderful day, too.  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  7. Your new car is handsome and has lots of smart features. When I bought my Ford Focus I was amazed by how many features it has, and thought "this car is almost smarter than me!" LOL. The yarns are a great array of colors and I like your rescued bell flower; it looks kin to the Canterbury Bells I posted about this week.
