Hello! How's the weather where you are? We have warm sunshine and it's 54 deg. F already at 11:40 am. I am sure it will get warmer. I'd seen a Camellia in bloom by the henhouse - the one we finally planted last summer - and so I grabbed my camera to get a photo. It was raining just 40 minutes ago when I was out and the flower was waterlogged, but still pretty. I've wondered for 30 years why the previous owners of our place, built in 1906, had not planted a Camellia. So, finally I've rectified that with 2 of them planted. About time, eh?
A friend of mine who lives in Beaverton, OR showed a photo on Facebook of her patch of Snow Drops in bloom.. so I looked at our patches and found just one bloom in tight bud. Soon we'll have more!
The Snow Drop I found was in our front entry walkway under the big Nandina full of red berries.
Walking around back I checked the pond - this is how it looks in Winter.
The big Koi are happily swimming about. I'm sure they prefer the better weather as they don't eat during the winter. Which amazes me as they grow a lot during this time.
Our older son and his wife attended a "destination" wedding in Phuket, Thailand this past week. It's been fun to see his Facebook postings of where they stayed and what all they did and saw. Their room was amazing with their own private infinity pool in front with a view of the ocean from the pool and deck. They arrive home tomorrow so we're going over to see them and the boys tomorrow. Her mother flew up from California to stay with the boys, that was nice. That's our weekend plans.. do you have something fun set up? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
