Seeing Stars

Have you seen the new Star Wars movie yet?  The Force Awakens.  We went a few days after Christmas, our son Travis organized us to go and we took the boys.  I just loved it!  We didn't get the best seat as it was crowded, but it didn't matter.  We went to the very first showing of the very first Star Wars in 1977!

I must say that I loved seeing the original stars in this last movie.  Talk about going full circle!  I also really enjoyed the new young people in the movie.  It was fast action, but also fleshed out the characters and had some quiet moments.  Have you seen it?  What was the first one you saw?  Below is the poster art for the first one.

Below are all the episodes.. I think I'd like to watch them all in a row from the first on to get re-acquainted with them.

We're having a brilliantly sunny day here and it's up to 44 deg.  I am going swimming again today.  What are you up to?  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Yes I saw it yesterday. I went to a big cinema and there were only 9 of us in the 300 seater cinema. Lol!
I loved every minute of it too. Everything you say I agree and yes we came away and said we need to watch them in order one after the other.

  3. My daughter and husband went over the Christmas holiday and I was blessed and stayed home looking after Wilbur. Not really my kind of film.

  4. Dear Teresa, I'm still looking forward to seeing it, but Lis and Gary saw and enjoyed it when it first came out and have been very good at not spoiling it for me by telling me what happens :) Hope you have a great swim. C and I are headed out shopping shortly and we're looking forward to seeing Mt. Hood in the sunshine! xx

  5. It's snowing here again today Teresa. So what else is new? Ha ha! Would you believe I have never seen a Star Wars movie? I guess they just never been anything that really interested me. I'm glad you enjoyed it though I've heard good things about this latest one. I hope you had a great swim. I admire that you and Gracie are so diligent about swimming often. Blessings my friend.

  6. I've not seen the new Star Wars movie yet. Megan went to see it yesterday and she liked it. She said Spock dies and the credits rolled. HA...a joke that is going around. Phil and I saw the first, original one while we were in England, 1977. We had to see it in town as it wasn't playing at the base theater. We've seen all the old ones. I was out and about today...I just posted about it a bit ago. Nice day though and now my back is hurting for some reason. Hope it gets better! Take care, stay warm this weekend and hugs to you, my friend! *+*

  8. I only saw the original one and none of the others. I liked it but I was never really a "follower". I would like to see this latest one just to see Harrison Ford! I love him! And maybe Chewbaca......

  10. I've not seen any of the Star Wars movies. Am I missing something ?? Doesn't look like my kind of movie as I'm not into futuristic, fighting kind of stuff. Is that what the movies are like? xox

  13. For sure I saw The Empire Strikes Back so I am assuming I saw the first one and my kids assure me I've seen another one that they used to watch all the time but I honestly can't remember a thing.

  14. I can still see many details of the original Star Wars movie-it was epic, wasn't it?
I have not seen the new version, but I may just give it a whirl!
    Happy New Year,

  15. I wish I liked Star Wars but it's just not my thing. My husband likes the original movies, though. We've been waiting for some of them on DVD from Netflix for weeks but they're very popular right now!

  17. Well I seem to have missed a few posts Teresa. I've not seen this latest Stars Wars film. The only one I've actually seen was back in 1999 - The Phantom Menace. We were in London with our eldest son who had just graduated - he wanted a trip to London and we went to The Odeon in Leicester Square and saw it. afterwards we sat outdoors and had a fabulous Italian meal. Happy memories . Hugs Anne x
