Hello there! Did you have a good weekend? We had a fairly relaxing two days. We've had the most unusual weather, a sunny day, then rain, then more sun. Which is what we're having now. I so enjoy seeing the dining room flooded with bright light so I snapped a few photos.
When my milk glass hobnail vases are in the sunshine they have a neat warm glow.
Soon enough when Spring arrives I will fill these vases with Lilacs and Lilies-of-the-Valley. I can't wait!
See the way the hobnails glow with a bit of orange light?
I had to move around to the sunny side to get a shot of the orchids.. they are still perfectly in bloom.. they are lasting such a long time. See how they look a bit pink? I realized that my pink mock turtleneck shirt was reflecting on them!
Now.. I meant to crochet 3 booties this weekend.. but to be honest.. I'm reading a series of books that I cannot put down! I can hardly stop reading at night to go to bed! I have finished the first two and will begin the third today. I bought all six in the series so I will be good for a few more weeks before I have to find a new book. An interesting anecdote is the author, whose real name is Rosina Lippi, is a quilter and lives in Oregon near the ocean.
I'm off to swim in a bit.. it's SO much nicer to head off to swim when it's sunny outside.. it's only 51 deg. F so far, at just before noon. But the best part is when I'm in the pool and the sun is flooding in through the wall of windows and the water is sparkling and lit up. Do you have any good book recommendations to share? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
