Happy Easter to YOU

Hello my friends.. thank you for visiting our little farmhouse out in the countryside of Oregon.. perched above the Columbia River Gorge.  Easter is coming very early this year so my decorations will only be on display for a little over a week.  On Sunday we're having an Easter dinner with ham and scalloped potatoes and vegetables and rolls.  Our son Shawn and his two boys will be able to be here.  Our DIL Beth left today for San Diego to start her new job on Monday.  Our dining table is all set for Easter!

I have a small collection of Royal Doulton Beatrix Potter bunny figurines.  The first one I saw in an antique shop was the mommy bunny holding two baby bunnies.  I loved the sweeping bunny and the shopping one.

I've been meaning to show you that our 3 hens are back laying eggs after a winter "vacation" from laying eggs.  I'm so happy to have our own fresh eggs again!  Do you like the wooden egg rack?  Well.. a few years ago I was watching Downton Abbey and it was the episode where Lady Mary finds herself helping to save their new pigs.  She and her friend then go back to the kitchen in the abbey and she has an egg rack very close to this one and she makes them scrambled eggs.  After that I did a search on Etsy and eBay and found this one and had to have it.  :-)  I will forever think of Lady Mary when I see this.

More of my Bunnykins figurines.  I love the little knitting one.

This handsome bunny was a gift to me at Christmas from my friend Shirley.  He's very impressive.. heavy cast iron with two real baskets woven of wire!  I think I need to fill his baskets with chocolate eggs.. don't you?

One of my favorite vintage treasures is this glass bunny.  He's hollow and looks very special filled with jellybean eggs.  I got him in an antique mall years ago.

My son brought home this gorgeous bouquet of Stargazer Lilies.. they look so perfect with the Easter decorations!

This is one of my favorite quirky ornaments on my Easter tree.

My Easter basket with all my crocheted eggs and one crocheted Peep.. I have meant to make some other Peeps!

Here are two glass egg cups.. they are in the shape of a baby chick.. can you see the design?  I got a set of 4 and sent 2 of them to a fellow blogger in England and she made me the cute little egg/chick you see in the basket.  Lucy, hello!

Another perspective of my cast iron bunny.

I had to show you the clever car bag my blog friend Kathy made for me (checks in the mail.. lol..)  It hangs perfectly from my console gear shift knob.  Thank you!  She has a huge store of sewing notions and patterns on Etsy.

My package arrived with a cute cellophane wrapping tied with a ribbon and a handmade card.  And cool stamps!  Sweet!

I wanted to show you this cute little porcelain English Village I found.. it's called "Whimsy-on-Why".

Each tiny building is beautifully decorated and glazed and the thatched roofs are unglazed.  Just adorable!  There is the Pump Cottage, Morgan's Chemist, Dr. Healer's House, Tobacconist's Shop, Why-Knot Inn, Bloodshot Hall, St. Sebastian's Church and the Barley Mow.  Have you ever seen them?

I volunteered at the Falls yesterday.. no pix.. got some flowers crocheted.. gotta run.. pack swim bag.. and go swim with Gracie!!

Have a GREAT Easter Weekend!!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  6. I always enjoy your pretty decorations Teresa. Your Easter ones are so cute, but the best? Real eggs, fresh from your own chickens! No store bought eggs taste as good in my humble opinion. :-). Love all of your bunnies too. Your car bag will look perfect and snazzy in your red and white car. Happy Easter my friend. Lots of love and enjoy your family on Sunday.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  9. Lots of lovely bunnies. The cast iron one is fabulous. And always love to see your holiday crochet. I had a whole collection of houses in our dining room but got rid of them. My husband wasn't too happy about that as he seemed to like them. :) Happy Easter!

I have successfully mailed off over 100 plastic easter eggs which somehow populated in the dark storage cupboard and kept the pretties.
We're having Baby Back Ribs for Easter dinner -= off to make your nummy carrot cake.

  13. Easter greetings Teresa and family. Your setting is amazing - you must have oodles of storage space for all these wonderful little nick nacks you have for each occasion. I remember the lovely glass bunny but can't recall seeing him full of jelly beans?? I'd love to see that. xox PS .. I'm off to eat some chocolate :)

  14. It is lovely to see all your Easter decorations. Easter has taken me by surprise, there are no decorations in our house at all. Happy Easter Monday.

  15. That pink crochet bunny is TOO cute! I love your bunny collection. (Bunnies are the only thing I ever collected - but I tend to keep them all packed away because I'm very bad about dusting knickknacks.) The cast-iron one and the glass one are stunning.

Hope you all had a happy Easter. :)
