Dream Boat

We've been thinking about getting back into boating.  We sold our sailboat as we weren't using it much.  I always thought that when we sold it, we might get a fishing boat, one where we could cruise up and down the river, do some fishing and crabbing and taking the grandkids out on the water.  One day I saw a boat on a trailer while I was driving and it was called a C-Dory.  I thought it was really a neat design, a pilothouse boat, cute and good for fishing and cruising around.  In the Northwest, having a boat where you drive it inside the cabin is good as we have a lot of cool weather and rain.  Dayle has been looking online for a loooong time.

So, we found this one we're going to go look at.  I can envision crocheting while the guys fish, catching some crab and cooking it up in the little galley on the boat, doing some fishing of my own.  I can also see the little boys getting to spend time with their dad and grandpa learning to fish and how to enjoy being on the water.  And Dayle getting to get out on the water and and enjoy his retirement.  And our son is very, very excited about the idea.  I'll keep you posted.  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. We sold our little fishing boat many years ago and I miss it. it's almost as good as being up in the air. I call first dibs on the first outing.

  2. What a great idea. There's a small boy here who would love a boat to go fishing in, what could be more fun when you're growing up than messing about on the water. Or when you're grown up in fact! I hope it works out for you, I shall look forward to hearing about your visit. CJ xx

the T's Knees. (T for Teresa) or Hill and Dayle
    or Fishing for Yarn

  7. Teresa, I'm loving that idea. Although I don't swim, I enjoy boating very much. Paul and Lori have a ski boat at the lake and they all want us to buy a pontoon (party) boat. I hope this boat works out well for you and is exactly what you all are wishing for!
    Blessings always,
    Betsy
