Gumdrop Pumpkins

I was browsing through the Vermont Country Store catalog I received the other day and these little gumdrop pumpkins jumped into my shopping cart on their online store.  They are so fresh and taste like oranges.  Yum!

Dayle has always loved the orange slice candy so I thought he'd like these. I offered some of these to our son Travis and our grandsons and they loved them too.  I also got some licorice black cats but I'll put those out closer to Halloween.

I just took this photo with my iPhone - our nosy little Mocha has to see what is going on in our driveway - and she sits on my head!  Sheesh.

Dayle's little Bonsai tree is doing well.. the moss on the bottom is liking all this rain.

I'm swimming this afternoon and then our grandsons are coming home on the bus here, it will be nice to see them.  It's been raining for 4 days so there's that.  Autumn is definitely here.  Time to get back to crocheting my shell afghan.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Hi Teresa. I just showed Dennis the picture of the pumpkins and he said, "I love those orange slices with the sugar on them." No joke. I think he and Dayle are brothers! Ha!
Mocha is darling. She likes her perch on your head for sure. And you let her do it!!!!! :-)
It was supposed to rain all day today on our drive across Montana and Wyoming but we didn't see a single cloud! It was a gorgeous drive. We're in Casper, WY tonight. Our hotel even has a recliner for me to rest my back.
Our housesitter says all is well at home and Chloe is fine. That makes it easier to be away.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  2. Love the Bonsai, Teresa! There is an elegance in Bonsai that is unmistakable. The photo of Mocha on your head is hilarious. What a joy she is for you all! We could use some rain, we are quite dry, but the temperature today was more fall like.

  3. Sweatshirt weather for sure. Heavy rain last night. WOW! Poured buckets! My mom always liked orange slices too. Found out at my uncle's funeral that he likes them too....mom's bro. It's supposed to be a bit warmer tomorrow. I need to knit some on my shawl this evening. Sweatshirt now!!! Take care ❤

  4. Those little pumpkin candies look delicious. But, I guess I'll just have to look. I can't eat them. LOL

I have that same chicken candy dish. It was my Mom's.

  5. Love gumdrops (any flavor!!). The VT Country Store (the "original/main" one in Weston) is only a short drive from where my Dad grew up. How long has Dayle had his bonsai? It is very pretty.

  8. Vermont Country Store is one of my favorites for finding older items. I'm still trying to find 'Halo Shampoo', but have had no luck, yet. I remember my mother washing my hair with Halo every Sunday evening. It had such a beautiful fragrance. Yes, VCS has a nice variety of old time candies.
Wee Mocha is so cute. You're lucky she's so little. Our Scottie, Hamish, weighs 26-lbs, he's a year old and not a bit overweight. He's the biggest Scottie we've ever had, we love every energy filled pound of him. Can't wait until he started to slow down a little. (smile)
Dayle's, bonsai is looking so very healthy, with lots of new growth. We're loving this rain. Wish we'd get more and more. Hope we also get a good blanket of snow this year as well.
