Hello! Thanks for dropping by. I have an interesting condition - it's where you start seeing colors before a certain holiday and are drawn to them. I'm sure there is no name for this. Do you have it? I'm not an orange person all year.. UNTIL right before Halloween I start being drawn to anything orange. For Easter pastel colors make me happy. And right before Valentines Day I absolutely am seeing RED. :-) So this morning I rifled through my tablecloth obsession collection to find my heart-y cloth. Then I added two more red candles that I made and looked in my "pin treasure chest" for my Valentine pins. This is one I made last year. Sparkly enough?
How many of you have a Valentine tablecloth? LOL!
My hearts. On the left is a crocheted heart that I made.. hmmm.. year before last? I need to make some more! The three felt, sequin and beaded hearts I have made.. the two on the outside I made a LONG time ago.. maybe even 18 years. The three pins on the bottom right were gifts from blog friends. They mean a lot to me. I will be wearing these starting February 1st. And my heart earrings and necklace. And I'll be wearing my raspberry pink, purple and red mock turtleneck shirts. Do you wear special things for this holiday?
I forgot how time intensive making these were. :-)
I definitely think I need to make some friends for this heart.
This beauty was made by my blog friend Betsy - isn't it neat? I know I've mentioned just how glad I am that I started blogging - 4 1/2 years ago - I've made so many new friends via this medium. And to me, friendship is the icing on the cake that we call life.
This pin is a knitted heart also made by my friend Betsy.
I had to show you the new soup spoons that Dayle and I found on eBay - they go with our set of silverware. Dayle has always wanted soup spoons for some reason and now we have some. Now we need to make some SOUP! I'm thinking a nice beef stew is in our future. And homemade rolls?
I have the same color issue!!! Fireman swam today and I filmed him with my iphone. I did my 7500 steps while he swam. I was kind of jealous that he was swimming.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all your hearts, Teresa :) My Chrstmas tablecloth has some heart shaped wreathed on it so I am using it for Valentine's Day too xx
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa! I absolute love seeing your hearts out. I put my garland made from your Scandinavian heart pattern out about a week and a half ago. No tablecloths but hearts hanging around here and there. I'm SO glad you're my friend.

Hi Teresa .. Looks like you've been busy again with your lovely table setting. I do love how you 'embrace' every holiday/season throughout the year. Your hearts are beautiful and the fact that they have such meaning, makes them all the more special. I still cherish the one you sent to me last year and have it hanging on the handle of my project bag so it comes with me wherever I go (and take my crochet of course). Hope you enjoy your swim today. Xox
ReplyDeleteGosh Teresa you have the best decorations all year round ☺ ☺ Here I have bats and skulls all year round lol xoxoxo

ReplyDeleteYour hearts are all gorgeous Teresa. The only changes in my use of colours is in my card and art journal making. I just think that I guided by the seasons and my garden! I am all glitter and gold at Christmas and reds for Valentine's now...blues and greeens will be hitting me around March...mind you blue is my favourite colour so I use it a lot all year. Lovely spoons. Enjoy your swim x
