A Day With My Little Sister :-)

Hi there my friends, thanks for stopping by!  I had just the most wonderful day with my younger sister!  I had gotten some tree ornament kits from Alicia Paulson and today we planned to spend the afternoon cutting and sewing our projects.  But the first thing was my sister's unveiling of her brand new kitchen!  I was so impressed with how it turned out!  Below is the new stove where the sink was in the old kitchen.
They put their fabulous new fridge on an angle, boy is that nice!  All the cabinets are painted country white, it's so bright and clean looking!
The new sink area now has a view from the nice new bigger windows that will open in the summer for a nice breeze.
Below is her amazing new gas stove, she's loving using gas instead of electric.  And see the beautiful tile work on the backsplash?
She made us some delicious lunch of salad with sauteed shrimp... mmmm!
And for dessert.... OH MY.. she made from scratch, Panna Cotto with Raspberry Coulis.  YUMMM!!! :-)
After that wonderful meal we opened our packages and began to cut out our felt ornaments.  She was working on a polar bear and I was working on a tree.  We cut and sewed and added beads and sequins for hours and hours! :-)
Below is my tree - only one half was decorated when it was time for me to go home.  Just a few more hours of work and this family heirloom will be finished.  Then I'll make the deer and then the adorable cabin with Christmas lights and smoke (grey wool) coming out of the chimney.
I am so glad I have 2 sisters.. sisters rock!

Well, time for me to relax... thanks for coming by to visit.  I hope you're having a good week!

((hugs)) Teresa

  2. The kitchen is gorgeous! I have to agree that sisters totally rock. I'm afraid mine lives on the West Coast, so I don't get to see her nearly as much as I'd like. You're so lucky that your sister is close enough that you get to spend the day with her. I'm jealous :)
