To be more explicit, there was a chart in our newspaper today, The Oregonian, where there has been only 1 day since then that was clear. Sheesh. So, I went out and snapped a few photos using my Hipstamatic App on my iPhone. To record the epic event.. sun. Today it's gone. One day is all we get.
I even took a photo right at the sun.. :-) To record this event for posterity.Blue sky.. no clouds.. see?
Sun on the grass that has started to grow..
Sun on the daffodils that are starting to show their age.
Our youngest son, his wife and our two grandsons brought Popeye's Chicken out and it was so nice that we set up a folding table in the driveway and had an impromptu picnic while watching the boys play with some toys in the gravel. Grandpa was mowing on the Kubota riding mower when they got here so he took the 2 yr old for a ride. Then Travis took the 3 yr old for a drive on it too. But the sun took a hike today. Back to gray. ::sigh::
Dear Sun, Please come back. Love, Teresa
Teresa, so glad you had a sunny day. Here in Florida I often wish for a cloudy day, the sun is so bright and it is already getting hot and humid. You are in my thoughts, hope everything is going well.

I don't think I would survive without the constant sunshine we have here. A week without sun would be a record down-under
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your little moments :-)
I'm with you. We had one beautiful day of sun yesterday and it's right back to the gray skies and rain today too. Oh well, spring has to be here soon along with warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of rainy days here, however not in these days. I got a sunburn yesterday. Imagine, in April, unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I always tell myself to keep the sunshine in my heart, if it is grey and rainy.
I wish you sunshine in your heart for this day. It's Sunday, and this is supposed to mean something, isn't it?
I love the way you make the most of it, photographing it for evidence that the sunshine still exists and with the impromptu Alfresco Dining! I can see you spinning away in the sunshine when ever you get that wheel sorted. I understand your little visitors may love it though.
ReplyDeleteSunny days are coming! Spring is being such a tease this year and giving us little snippets followed by cold rain. I just hope we get some kind of a spring before the hot weather hits.
ReplyDeleteYes, Please sun come to us all!!! We promise to enjoy every moment. xoRobin❤
ReplyDeleteIsn't amazing how some of us just know how to take full advantage of a sunny day. But, oh, me, oh, my I took in a little too much yesterday. So, let me send you some cyber-sun today, as I got a weeee bit too much. Plus, I have to sew in the last of my ends this morning and head over to JoAnn's for the ribbon. Seriously, I hope you get another sunny day soon. I know it's been a long long winter out there in the Pacific Northwest.
ReplyDeleteI hate to brag Teresa but we have been spoilt for over a week now with glorious sunshine! We have been out in the garden all weekend and even had to find some shade as it got too hot! It's set to last until Tuesday. I am sending some sunny wishes your way from Sunny Surrey and hope the sun comes over to you too very soon...Jane x
