Ripple Blanket & Bringing Hubby Home

I'm enjoying the ripple blanket I'm working on.  The pattern is from the lovely and colorful Lucy at the Attic24 blog.  I'd done ripples in the past but they had a point-y look, more of a chevron.  I like this better as it's more organic and gentle.  There is a "Ripple-Along" going with Lucy and her friend Heather from Little Tin Bird blog.  They even made a Flickr page for all of to share our ripples!!
This morning I called hubby at the hospital to see when he thought I could come and get him and he said he'd call me and let me know.. which he did around 10:30 am.  I pulled in to the covered entrance area and soon a nurse brought him right up to the car.  Kind of like I got a husband in a drive-through hospital.  Such a deal!

He is very happy to be home, and the dog and I are happy to have him back.  Buddy looked for him all night.  I made him a grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup lunch - his first meal for a few days.  Now he's taking a nap.  Poor guy.

No other big news here.  Just accepting the fact that Summer was fleeting, Fall was a leaf color bust in Oregon, I miss my granddaughters, time to get Christmas gifts purchased and I want to make some crocheted toys for the kids.  I saw the cutest kitty and I printed up a photo of it.

Thanks for all the concern for hubby, he feels loved.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. Glad your husband is home and doing well.

It drove the animals upset the whole time Duane was in the hospital and nursing home. Especially his Bootsie cat.

I understand about your granddaughters. We really miss Faith.

  7. Hurray Hubby's home! Now you get to play nurse like I did when my honey broke his elbow last winter. Hope he's a good patient for you! Your ripple looks great and such a fun pattern. Crocheting toy animals is a great idea for the little ones. Can't wait to see. Have a good day and rest up yourself.

  20. I'm glad you got your other half back in good shape. Don't you hate it when he's gone? Sounds like you are being a good little nursie making him a grilled cheese sammie and tomato soup. Nothing like being spoiled when you're not up to par.
