Not long ago this blog reached 200 "Followers" aka "Friends". I want to celebrate by giving away one of my pairs of earrings. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post - I will draw the winner a week from today on Wednesday, March 14th at noon Pacific Standard Time USA. I will send them anywhere in the world - I will need an address once I post the winner. I will put your name in the draw twice if you are a "Follower" - just tell me if you are when you leave your comment. Good luck! :-)
You will get to choose what bead you want on top, or if you like small earrings - no beads on top, just the sterling silver pine cone on the bottom. The ear wires are sterling silver, too. Below is my jewelry making work box. I somehow misplaced my wire cutter tool so today I went to "A Bead Source" to get a new cutter and found a whole set of tools with SPARKLY HANDLES! Turquoise is a favorite color of mine so I just had to have them. I also found a strand of shell heishi and a strand of banded agate beads. I am making a bunch of necklaces and earrings to deliver on friday to the gallery in Vista House as they open for the season soon.
Aren't these just pretty?
I loves me some sparkly things!
My banded agate and shell beads.
What a mess of fun, huh?
Now to get busy making stuff.
A big box was delivered by our nice post lady today -- I got 2 "Alice" Fire King plates for hubby and I! They are 9 1/2 inches in diameter. I'm thinking they might look nice in our trailer.
Pretty floral borders.
OH.. I went to the hand surgeon today and he was pretty neat! He said I didn't need surgery but if I wanted he would poke a hole in the bump on my finger to make sure it was filled with liquid and not a hard cyst -- ummmmmmm.. ok. So, he jabbed my finger with a needle and went.. yep.. it's just a ganglion cyst. He told me I have arthritis in my hands and I went.. really? He goes.. well YEH.. even my MOTHER could tell you that you have arthritis. Sheesh. Then I went swimming. After buying my new tools. :-)
Alrighty then.. time to get busy making jewelry. Thanks for visiting!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Hi Teresa .. You certainly are a talented crafter and those earrings are gorgeous. I'm not sure if I'm an official 'follower' but I do read all of your posts which pop up on my sidebar each day. Pleased to hear you don't have to have surgery on your hand. Hope that arthritis doesn't develop into anything that will give you problems crocheting. What a pretty green in those two plates - will they match with the cups you got the other day? xoxox
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, I don't have a blog and so am probably not an official "follower", but I am definitely an unofficial follower and read all your posts. The handles of those new tools are a gorgeous colour. As you know, I love silver and would love to wear a pair of your pinecone earrings ....please put my name in the hat!
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, Really enjoy your blog my friend. Love the photos of your home state Oregon and of the River Gorge water fall, such a majestic place. Give away or not you have a fan! Blessings to you and yours! :)
ReplyDeleteWell...I am a follower and I love those earrings Teresa! Love those pliers too! AND the pretty plates!!!
ReplyDeleteTeresa - yours is one of my top favorite blogs! Growing up in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, I can relate to many of your blog topics. In fact, you have inspired my husband and I to visit your area on our next annual trip. So much beauty that you share with us. I am a definite follower and would be honored to wear a piece of your jewelry!
ReplyDeleteI lovvvveeee pinecones :) and I am a follower. The pair that you show look awesome to me. I enjoy your blog so much, Thank you for being a wonderful new friend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful earrings, and all those beads!! Glad all went well at the doctors, just keep massaging it and it should dissipate. I'd love to join in your giveaway, you have a wonderful blog, and you are always up to something interesting, as well as creating fantastic spinning and crochet... the list is endless! I too am a follower.
ReplyDeletePhew, I nearly tripped over myself, rushing here to join this 'Give Away' I would give the beautiful ear rings to my Mom. I love pine cones....congratulations on all your followers, I have been four followers away from 200 for what seems like an age, I am patiently watching and waiting.... I am glad your appointment went ok, I usually go to the Doctors and tell them what I have and how I would like it treated too. Is it me or are Doctors getting much younger? They look like school leavers! xxx
ReplyDeleteTeresa, you are just so multi-talented. I love your work. I am a follower too. He he.

Good news on not having to have surgery. Sparkly tools and all those lovely beads - lucky you! I look forward to seeing new posts from you pop up on the 'following' bit of my dashboard; it always makes me smile seeing what you've been up to and the photos you take of the beautiful part of the USA where you live.
ReplyDeleteGood morning from the East Coast. :) I love seeing your nature pictures, they are so beautiful. I also enjoy looking at the things you get for your doll house. :) I also follow you. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't realized that you had beaded jewelry in your repertoire! We share that in common, although I've never blogged about it. And my jewelry is a bit different - but nevertheless, all the tools look familiar! I love the turquoise handles! And the earrings are adorable! What a sweetie you are to offer the give away! (And to offer to customize!) I also have used beads to make bells...they can be package tie ons (great for wedding gifts) or used as Christmas ornaments. My mom used to make them and I've carried on the tradition. I'll have to blog about that sometime. Have a great day! And, yes, I'm a follower! =)
ReplyDeleteHello Teresa, I never win giveaways but I'd love to win this one so I'll give it a try. You know I am a follower as well!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you don't need surgery, hand surgery is horrible. X
Glad you don't need surgery, that would cut down on crafting time! I would love to win a pair of your gorgeous earrings! You are so generous! (((hugs)))
ReplyDelete~Kelly~ ♥
Good Morning Teresa, Sun shining here today and a tease of warm temps! Always love your pinecone earrings and would love to have them on my ears! Great news about your hand. Hope you have a fun day, xoRobin❤
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog because it is my "connection" to home! I was born and raised in WA and so I love seeing your photos and comments about an area I know so well.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you don't need surgery... too bad its arthritis!
I would love to be entered in your giveaway... Happy 200 followers!
I for a fact, know how great these earring are. I will let another win this time. But, boy, do I like that turquoise. Good news about not needing surgery. I think we are all hitting that age now. Doesn't it seem like it's one thing after another. Keep swimming, I swear it's the best exercise there is. I'm going to find an indoor pool when I get back in April.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower and would love a pair of your earrings!
ReplyDeleteSam
200 followers! That's awesome...and to think I knew you when you only had 100...wink, wink. I'm so glad everything is good with your hand. I have arthritis as well. I think it's just what we get when we use our hands like we do...and YEA - no surgery! Have a great one!
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa,
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower and love your blog. I think I have been following daily for a week or two.
Tiny bit about me.....I am a single Mom who knits (currently a stocking cap for my 7 year old son) and is currently searching for a job. Reading you blog is a nice diversion.
Best to you,
Martha

ReplyDeleteThose earrings are gorgeous. You do beautiful work. It would be nice to win since you picked my birthday for the drawing. I am a follower also ; )
ReplyDeleteTeresa, you are a gifted crafter. My wish is to learn some of your secrets with jewelry making and crochet. See you on Monday. LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, 200 followers..wow! Thanks for offering a great giveaway your earrings are lovely. I love your sparkly pliers. Glad to hear your appointment went well. Surgery is always best avoided on hands if at all possible. Also your surgeon probably meant to say you had some "wear and tear" in your hands rather than an inflammatory arthritis and the most important thing is to carry on crafting ;0)
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Jane x
Lovely earrings, Teresa! Thank you for this fab giveaway, please put my name in the draw too! Love those turquoise blue sparkly pliers, so pretty. You are such a versatile crafter and can make so many clever things.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Helen x
What a wonderful giveaway! I would love it if you would enter me in your draw! I'm never lucky with things like this - I couldn't win my way out of a paper bag - but I have great fun imagining what would happen if I did win! :o) I am a follower and love to read and see what you've been up to. I loved the photo of you and Gracie taking pictures of each other taking pictures of each other - it made me smile :oD x x x
ReplyDeleteI think you work harder retired than I do with a job;)
ReplyDeleteOh those are great! I am a follower so count me in!
ReplyDeleteHello Teresa loved looking on you 'desk'. I just love those sparkly handles - I use wire cutters and pliers in cardmaking and sugarcraft and would sure like some sparkly ones - I will have to have a look. I have some pink ones but not sparkly.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 200 followers - you deserve them as your blog is brilliant. I am a follower and would like to be entered for the draw. Take care. Anne x
I am not sure if I am a true follower but I look for your posting every day from the UK- I love your earrings and crocheted hearts and your teddies.
ReplyDeleteLove your new plates! They are YOU.
ReplyDeleteGanglion cysts have been called "Bible bumps" around the South since the beginning of time, I guess. They call them Bible bumps because the way you get rid of them is to bang a bible down on them and they drain right out and absorb into your body! I had one a couple of years ago on my wrist. One day I accidentally hit my wrist on top of Fletch's bony head (I was reaching down and he was jumping up), and it immediately disappeared!
I was going to tell you that, but then I decided I'd better not be dispensing "medical advice" like that to you. My luck you'd try it and they would double in size or something horrifying like that. Ha-ha. I'm glad you had an easy fix in the end.
Please enter me in your Giveaway. I am a Follower too. Love your jewelry!
Oooo, I do love your beads! Particularly those grayish ones! You may or may not count me as a follower since technically I am not (I'm on Wordpress instead of Blogspot). I have been following and commenting since last fall! I would like to like to be put into your drawing please! It sounds like a single set of earrings amidst everything else you'll be making won't be too much extra. You sure do keep busy! Those pretty new pliers make it more fun in my opinion though ;)
ReplyDelete~Lacey
What do I like the most? Hard to decide....the pretty earrings, the sparkly tools, or the Fire King.
ReplyDeleteNot only do I follow your blog, but I am enjoying your friends and their comments. Today, Pammy Sue's comment had me laughing out loud...I've never heard of Bible bumps before, nor how to get rid of them! Massaging sounds less risky...just sayin. (: I have been admiring your jewelry since I found your blog this fall and I think you are very generous to send the winner custom made earrings which I am certain will be *prized*! <3
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa
ReplyDeleteI love those sparkly tools.
As you know I count you as a friend too!
Please enter me in your giveaway.
