I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday! I sure did! I know people have different ideas of Valentine's Day - but I think it's awesome, flowers, chocolates and a day for us to concentrate on love, how can you not like it! :-) My younger sister Denise and I volunteered at Multnomah Falls yesterday and she suggested we invite our husbands to meet us for dinner afterwards at our favorite restaurant for steak. Bumpers Grill.
And my sweetheart surprised me with a bouquet of roses and Stargazer lilies and a box of truffles! He's amazing, isn't he?
We had a great time at dinner, we had this cozy corner booth and great conversation. We all had the filet mignon with Bordelaise sauce and twice baked potato. Yum!
My sis and hubby Steve.. they are so fun to be with!
And of course, my handsome sweetheart, Dayle.
We usually don't have dessert, but it was a special dinner, so Dayle and I shared this perfectly delicious Crème brûlée. Mmm!
I have a few other things to share with you. We were driving and I saw a car ahead of us which had a family of Apples on their back window instead of the regular stick figure families - since I'm an Apple fan, I got a huge kick out of this!
Then I thought I'd share a few of my drawings on the game I'm playing with several people - Draw Something. :-)
We are having a spectacularly beautiful sunny day! I hope that you are enjoying your day and that you have fun plans for the weekend. We are going to a Crab Feed tomorrow.. photos to follow! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Isn't he a sweetie! Mmmmm, creme brulee. I would never play Draw Something with you. You'd get so frustrated trying to figure out what the heck I'm drawing ;) Have a lovely weekend!!

ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful and your dinner looks scrumptious :-)
Have a good Friday...I have to watch my dad at his house tonight so am just getting up.
Blessings, Aimee
Such a happy day you had. Dayle is so sweet to you and your dinner looked delicious. I'm still down and cozily crocheting, but the sun is shining here today too and that is very welcome. Needless to say, we didn't go anywhere yesterday, but hubby did bring Taco Bell home when he left work. That was good too. Everyday is Valentine's Day with my hubby. He's a definite "keeper".
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Awww, I love Betsy's comment above that every day is Valentine's Day! How adorable is that?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful celebration of love. It's wonderful that you are so close to your sister! I'm an only child so I've always envied those with siblings.
Happy day after Hearts Day!
Dayle is an incredible husband! How sweet, he gives you the most beautiful things. And your dinner, wow! That must have been delicious. I am really looking forward to having a dinner out alone with my husband. We'll do that in a few months when his parents are in town and can stay with our kids; they live locally in the summer months and we get a little free babysitting while they're here. :) I'm glad you had such a nice day.
ReplyDeleteThat Dayle is a sweetheart, I am glad you both had a great day,
ReplyDeleteMeredith

ReplyDeleteJust doing a little blog hopping. Found your blog through Betsy. I love the gorge. It is one of my favorite drives. Love all of the falls too. Have not been down there for a few years though. Might make a great weekend trip for DH and I. Maybe I can even talk him into a stop at Bumpers. Have never been there. Which end of the gorge is it? I love the drive down through the Horse Heaven Hills and past MaryKnoll. Just thinking about is making me want to do it :) Glad you had such a fun Valentine day.
