Hello my friends, thanks for visiting! I am going to quickly show you some photos before we jet off down the interstate to our camping destination, 3 and a 1/2 hours away. Our son and his family will remain home taking care of our chickens, potted plants and pond fish. Below is from left, Betsy, Taci, me and Gracie. We met for dinner at Tad's Chicken 'n Dumplins, or as the locals call it, the "Chic Dump". I brought my crocheted bunting to show the girls.
We had the most wonderful time catching up with each other's stories.. and the view of the Sandy River was fabulous.. people swimming and playing and floating by on rafts..
We always talk about our fellow bloggers, how we admire them and enjoy their stories and photos. I told Meredith at Mereknits that we would toast her and we did! Here's to all our readers and fellow bloggers who have brought much joy to our lives! ::clink::
Having fun together.
The crispy fried chicken was delish.. they gave me a dumpling instead of a baked potato, it was yummy!
This group of young people were enjoying the river.. two of the girls were on the shoulders of boys and they fought to throw the other one off.. all in good fun!
The water is not that pretty as it's down to glacier melt from Mt. Hood and it's got a white quality to it.
I just love the glitter and sparkle of the sun off water.. always have.
Floating down the river..
We all surprised each other with little gifts.. Taci gave us some pretty pink cotton, Betsy some variegated cotton, Gracie knitted us each a dish cloth, I gave B&T a ball of KnitPicks "Dishie" and gave Gracie a cobalt glass bowl I found at IKEA the other day. (She collects cobalt glass)
Taci brought me a belated birthday gift - something very special - a dish towel that her mother in Brazil had embroidered! Wow!! Thank you ladies!!
Well.. time to pack up the last things and head out. I'll miss you all! I'll "see" you in 10 days or so! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I'm so happy to found your Blog. I'm come from Canada and I speak French. English is always difficult for me. I did a toast with my Perrier with your picture for Meredith.
