My dear readers, I just had to share with you my Hibiscus blooms. What a joy it is to see them smiling at me each time I walk into the kitchen or by the dining room. After watching this plant struggling along but still producing one of THESE blooms periodically, I bought a bigger pot and new soil and repotted it. And wow.. what a transformation! Lots of green new big leaves and a steady stream of new buds and blooms. Happy happy, joy joy!
There are 3 blooms open when I took this.. they only last one day, can you believe that? One glorious day. There are many more buds forming.
I love how the light from outside illuminates the veins in the petals.
If you like plants, I highly recommend getting one of these. My blog friend Robin from My Nest of Yarn and Buttons blog has a red hibiscus in bloom at her house too!
I'm off to swim with Gracie after the pool was closed for a week for maintenance. New water! Tomorrow I'm joining 4 local-ish bloggers for a holiday lunch get-together. Betsy is flying in from Spokane to join us for the afternoon! Now that's dedication! I will take photos, but you knew that, didn't you? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Wow - such amazing colour!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful plant, Teresa! My folks had a bush in their backyard down in San Jose, and it bloomed profusely, but I have never tried growing one inside. You inspire me to at least think about trying :) xx

Stunning! Sorry I've not been reading or commenting much lately, it's been hectic here (same as everywhere really)!
ReplyDeleteYour hibiscuses are so pretty. I have hibiscuses in the backyard, they bloom for about 6-7 weeks every summer. I can almost use them as a calendar they're so precise about when they bloom! Thank you for the Christmas ornament you sent, it's so pretty and we're very happy to have it.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful... one of my very favorite flowers! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Red is probably my favourite colour (or pink) and I think my mum also has this plant :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S I have done some research for you!
