I found a new tablecloth.. fell in love with it.. had to have it. It kind of goes along with my newfound love of PINK. It popped up on Amazon.. you know how that goes. I loved the watercolor quality of the print and the color.. oh yum.
Can you spot the photo-bomber? The furry one? He's never far away from my feet. Kristi is hand painting the white trim off the back deck. I'll be glad when the blue tape is off the back door. :-)
I envisioned a bouquet of on the table, so I found my purple glass pitcher and Kristi cut me a bunch of purple Hydrangeas to arrange in it.
I had to show you a miraculous thing.. I had a pot of green and a pot of red/purple shamrocks in our den and they were *not* doing well. So.. I put them on the back deck to fend for themselves. I am aMAZed at how happy they are outside!
There never was more than a few leaves on this one and look at it now? And the flowers are pink!
And the old green one I've had for EVER.. in fact my Mom gave me the tubers a long. time. ago. And look at it.. so lush and thick and happy! This makes me so pleased.
I found a recipe for key lime pie while browsing the internet and Kristi got all the ingredients and made it for us the other night. It was yummy!
Travis painted all day yesterday. Kristi painted white trim and he spray painted the underside of my carport white and the underside of the front porch and other trim on the front porch.
He also painted the side of the garage where the chicken house is attached.. that must have been a challenge. Next we have to pull off all that moss off the top of the chicken run roof. And the barn roof, too. Such are the chores when you have a lot of buildings!
The Crocosmia is in it's glory.
I had to show you this photo taken by a local photographer of the Vista House with Aurora Borealis lights in the sky.
We have a lovely sunny warm day here. I so love summer! What plans do you have for the week? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
We're having an absolutely gorgeous day here at the lake too. Not too hot not too cold. Perfection. Your shamrock plants are beautiful. I never would have thought they would do so well outside. You're painting is also coming right along isn't it? Travis and Kristi are such hard workers. You are very blessed to have them living there with you. Thank you for sharing that last photo with us. The lights on the Vista house are absolutely stunning.

ReplyDeleteI am working this week but have lots of spare time because the kids are away. I love your table cloth, it is very pretty. We don't often use tablecloths because I am not keen on laundering and ironing them. One day when the kids have moved out! You are all so busy and look at your amazing work, all looks great. x
ReplyDeleteIt is exciting to see all the painting progress! I love seeing your pretty new tablecloth and gorgeous flowers, too! We are wondering if we will see the Northern Lights while on this trip. I have never seen them other than in pictures, have you? XX
ReplyDeleteI love your purple table setting - so pretty. Kristi is a real gem isn't she? That pie looks awesome. Happy painting. xox
ReplyDeleteI love your Crocosmia, I have an orange one on our property! You might like April Cornell tablecloths. I have a few, but they are spendy so I try to get them on eBay. They are gorgeous, and your lovely new tablecloth reminds me of them.
