Bunnies, Eggs & Gnomes

Hello Peeps!  Yesterday I stowed my leprechauns in a bin and brought out some Easter decorations.  My egg tree, some bunnies and eggs, etc.

The bunny I sewed by hand, design by Alicia Paulson, I even knitted her dress!  My crocheted Easter eggs.

The Easter egg candles Kristi surprised me with last year.

The old glass bunny which originally filled with colorful jelly beans.

My collection of Peter Rabbit character figurines.

A basket of eggs and a chick sent to me from a blog friend in England, Lucy.

And introducing this year's addition to the collection, 3 adorable figurines designed by Bethany Lowe. *love*

I adore the crocheted eggs and chick.

A cute little nest with speckled eggs.

A fellow blogger, Sue at "The Cottage at the End of a Lane", showed some tacky gnomes at a store and did a post about those who love garden gnomes and those that don't.  I told her I have a cute little cast iron gnome that I told her I'd show her.  What is your vote on garden gnomes, yea or nay?

I added some colorful hobnail vases to my collection, all I had before was white.  I think these are so cute and I can't wait to put some Lilys-of-the-Valley or lilacs in them.

Last evening Hayden came in from outside and told me to grab my camera and come outside - there was a Hawk in the trees.  Unfortunately my camera focused on the branch above the bird and the bird is fuzzy.. then he flew away.

My granddaughters at the Father Daughter Dance in Ohio.  Jenna is getting so tall and pretty and adorable Paige is a character!

We have a busy day ahead!  My brother is in town so we're meeting him and my sisters for lunch.  Then an appt. with my lung doctor after that.  Then on to a board meeting of the Friends of Multnomah Falls.  What's on your docket today?  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. All your decorations are so festive! You inspire me with every post you make. I need to put out Easter things now and get a dedicated tote for spring things - it would help to get me organized. Just doesn't seem like spring here yet - our daffodils are just coming up! Your hawk looks much like a Coopers hawk's that we have had hanging around here for a couple of years, successfully hunting at our bird feeders - it got a Flicker a couple weeks ago - not happy about that...

  2. Fun decorations Teresa. I always enjoy seeing your Easter things. I want to make a few more knitted eggs this year. I had a busy morning of errands. Lots of errands. I have an hour or two at home now before leaving again. Hope all goes well at your doctor appointment.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. Darling Easter decorations, Teresa. It's fun to bring out the bunnies and chicks this time of year. We've had a busy day visiting Monticello while our daughter is visiting. I hope all goes well for you at the doctor's office. ♥

  8. Hi Teresa. I love your Easter decorations. I especially like your Posy Gets Cozy Bunny. Alicia's designs are always adorable aren't they, and the dress you made is perfect for her.

  9. Your Easter table setting is so gorgeous. I think my favourite is the glass bunny but everything is lovely. Garden Gnomes have always appealed to me although I don't have one - my outside 'ornaments' near the front door are a dog and a gargoyle - oh and a basket of dead geraniums. I don't have a green thumb by any means and can never manage to keep much alive. Your beautiful granddaughters are growing up aren't they? Such a shame they live so far away from you. xox

  10. I;m a total gnome yes. ! I love them . Mine is broken. Hmmmm.. Must shop for a used one.
The girls ready for the Father Daughter Dance brought back so many memories of our same dance in High school. We had 5 girls in our family and I was the ONLY one who invited my dad. It was akward but he still raves about it. He still has the photo pin they sold to us that night.

  11. So many lovely Easter decorations, I particularly like the glass rabbit. I have a glass dog so it reminds me of that. It probably had perfume in as the tail is where a stopper should be. Cathy x

  12. I say Yay to garden gnomes but like with many things, garden gnomes should be in moderation. Too many garden gnomes can be too much of a gnome explosion! We have 2 in our garden. One is Sneezy from Snow White and the seven dwarves (a joke gift to my partner who sneezes in the garden alot!) and a cute small european style little dude who hides in the mint pot! Love your Easter decorations!

  15. hello Teresa. I'm sorry I've missed some of your posts. Didn't manage to blog on Wednesday either, life has just been very hectic. Love all the Easter decorations. I must get mine out. Your granddaughters are so lovely and growing up so quickly - as they do. I'm very boring Teresa and my bedding is cream with some lace. I do have a pretty apple green in one of our spare bedrooms. Hugs Anne x

  16. We love the same things! There is no one quite like the amazing Alicia Paulson, with her adorable handmade ornaments, bunnies, and so on (and on). I saw her (with Andy) at Powell's Books ages ago...she was there for a meet-and-greet and a book signing. When I came face to face with Alicia, she said, "I know you, don't I"? (We'd never met before.). My response was, "I feel like we know each other...I follow your blog and buy your books and I may be your biggest fan". And Teresa, I feel the same way about you!

  17. Hi Teresa! I have to confess I've spent the last two weeks or so reading all your back blogs so I'm now trying to catch up to more current times ad have to tell you how shell shocked I was to see the latest pictures of the grandkids. They were little babies literary yesterday and know reading your current post they're these much bigger awesome kids, lol! hugs back, Ginette
