I just had to start a new project!! :-). This is a Queen Anne's Lace scarf using Noro World of Nature 100% wool! Kinda cool looking so for... More later.
Thanks for snapping, I did too. But mine was yarn I bought at this amazing yarn store I visited. And I have to admit I casted on the scarf almost as soon as I got home. Sometimes it is fun to snap. have a lovely day, Meredith
The scarf will be lovely!! Not sure I want to give that yarn a go, after reading what you said about it, but definately want to try the scarf. Cannot wait to see the finished piece!!xx
The scarf is looking beautiful. I've heard mixed reviews on the Noro. A lady at my LYS said that it actually depends on the skein. Kind of a luck of the draw deal. Can't wait to see it finished. BTW, I will be trying to make biscuits this week-end with the recipe you gave me...cross your fingers!!
Teresa ..that pattern is just fab..and i loved doing mine so much..its on rav..although i found i had to twiddle a little with hook sizes for my wool which was double knitting in 100% cotton..i went to a "tea" in my village hall on sunday and the scarf was greatly complimented..strangely enough mine is green too...go girl go!!!
Manda, this is one skein but it's pretty short. I would want more yarn for a longer scarf if you like to wrap it around your neck. I for sure will do this pattern in other and softer yarns. Very lacy!
Vera, this is the only Noro I've used - there must be softer versions! :-)
Lisa, you'd love this pattern!
Melba, do let me know how the biscuits turn out!
Bonzo, I think I'd love to do this pattern in cotton. Would love to see yours!

ReplyDeletehave a lovely day,
Meredith
What a nice way to snap though!!!! I see your hip warmer is doing his job as well. Lovely pic.
ReplyDeleteThis is looking mighty fine. I will definitely have to try Noro one day soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Meredith! What kind of yarn did you get and what kind of scarf are you making?
ReplyDeleteHi Erin! Yep, Buddy is right there keeping me warm. :-)
Hi Clara! Well.. I'm not sure I'd recommend this yarn. It's scratchy, very irregular in the spin and has debris in it like tiny sticks and grass!
hmmm quite liking that Queen anne scarf pattern the more i see it! how many skein's does it take Teresa? would a 50g do it?
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous, mind you Noro yarns are soo amazing to work with anyway.
