Hello! I was going through a stack of things in my "office" (my very own personal version of "Hoarders") and found a watercolor painting I did 10 years ago. This is our family fleet of Sunfish sailboats. Mine is the purty one in the middle with the sunset on it. My sister, Roberta, had taken a photo of our boats during our annual family camp-out. I did this painting from that photo. I need to get this framed. :-)
The photo below is of me sailing my boat with my daughter riding along.. she's getting some sun. The funny part about this photo is you have to imagine my dear husband, on HIS boat... sailing while sitting BACKWARDS on the back of his boat... while taking photos of us.. trying to get the sun behind the sail to illuminate it. We were watching him and getting a huge kick out of his prowess. I think he did a good job, don't you?
I just wanted to share some Summer with you.. because where I am at, it's finally gotten really downright ucky. Cold, cloudy, dare I say.. gloomy? So, here is my little shot of color for you.. hope it makes you feel a bit more bright. :-)((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I really want to make bunting and those sails look so cheerful, the bright colours would look fab translated into bunting. Great painting and photograph :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a talented artist Teresa! Love the boats. Love the picture!
ReplyDeleteYou're a talented artist. The picture is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's cloudy and gloomy here in Tucson, as well. The weatherman calls it a dirty sky. It's been pretty dirty today.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful painting and what a great camera shot by your hubs! Though we are in the 70's today, it is gloomy and windy. Strange weather indeed. Your camera shot is a bright spot in my day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the colour therapy, Teresa! :-) It has been getting very cold and grey here in Brussels, so I could use it! :-) xxxx
