Busy Little Elves

We're off to do more hunting and gathering of gifty type items in a few minutes.  But I thought I'd say hello to you!  Dayle sets up a long folding table for me in the family room as a gift wrapping station.  I was busy for hours yesterday, cutting, wrapping, taping and tagging of things for under the tree.  Where do you do your gift wrapping?

I banned these two to the living room while I wrapped "secret" things.  Caleb is using their LeapPad for educational games.

Hayden is my artist.. he brought home this awesome painting he made at school.  He gave it to me and taped it to my cabinet to my left so I can see it well.  :-)

While shopping the other day we got the boys 2 pairs each of Christmas stockings.. they put these on last night after I massaged both boys feet, legs, hands and arms with lotion.  :-)

They just LOVED these socks!

I forgot this great photo in my last post so I thought I'd add it now.  This was at our girl's holiday luncheon.  Our son Travis arrived home from work in time to spend some time with his aunties and Shirley.  They both rubbed his back for him, he was in heaven.  :-)

OK.. no time to waste, the elves must dash and seek out wonderful things.  Have a super day and...

  4. Hi there Teresa, What a great wrapping station, I do something similar in my country kitchen, so I can watch TV or listen to xmas music. Because we are talking about hours and hours of wrapping RIGHT!!
Fun socks for the boys, so cute on their little footies : )
Busy time for "elves" this time of year, Enjoy!
    Merry Christmas, xoRobin

  6. Those boys are adorable! :-)

I still have a lot of gift figuring, shopping, and creating to do. When I wrap gifts, I use my craft studio. I keep all of my wrapping supplies in there and I have a tall craft table that works great for standing at or sitting at to wrap and work. And, I can shut the door to keep things a secret. ;-)

    Happy shopping!

  7. How nice to have a wrapping station! I usually sit on the floor in the family room to do my wrapping but I'm starting to feel it in my back the couple of years so I think I'll probably start using the kitchen table instead. The boys' socks are adorable! I love seasonal socks and so do my kids. :)

  8. I usually wrap presents at the kitchen table, the same place I sit and pay bills and fold the laundry. My kitchen table gets a work out all year long. They make all kinds of cute socks any more, for all of the holidays. It is hard not to spend money on grand kids. I find myself doing the same, last time I bought something for Holden it was socks. They grow so fast and are always needing something.

  9. Foot rubs?!!! You ARE a good grandma! I wrap/set up in our formal dining room. We all hang out in the kitchen around the island all the time anyway!

  10. My wrapping station is usually my living room at a time when I hope there will be no traffic through it...which can be challenging in our busy household :-) Hayden's artwork, new socks and foot and back rubs, and a happy family photo, are wonderful !!! xx

  13. Dayle is such a sweetheart to set up a wrapping station for you. I usually end up wrapping the presents in my bedroom!

Love those funky Christmas socks, think I need a pair!

Have a wonderful weekend Teresa - I have finally managed to do a bit of shopping, but have quite a bit more to do - the main issues for me is getting presents from my Mum (who will be 88 on 28 December God willing) and my brother. All inspirational ideas gratefully received!!

  14. Teresa, your house is looking so festive. The boys socks are adorable, Travis looks like he is in Heaven and last but not least I usually wrap on my bedroom floor, of course causing me to get a backache!

Oops that picture by Hayden is terrific.

  17. I do my wrapping in our bedroom on the ironing table. Might seem strange but I put it at its highest and it prevents me getting backache.
Love those socks. Thank you for Ian's birthday wishes.
    Enjoy your weekend Carol xx

  19. I wish I'd been in line for one of those leg & foot massages with lotion! Hee-hee. Okay, that sounded a little creepy. Your house looks so pretty and Christmasy! It looks great. I know the kiddos love it. I haven't had the Captain get any Christmas stuff down from the attic. Not sure that I will this year, which is kind of depressing when I think about it. I only miss it when I see one like yours. Cinnamon Raisin Bread is in the bread machine today! Can't wait to try it out tonight.

  20. I do my wrapping on the kitchen island when no one is home but me! Not a difficult feat these days as no one but Hubby lives near me! Foot massages!!! Can I come? Such a happy, festive home you have. See you in a little over a week!
    Blessings,
    Betsy
