Life has been busy.. how about you? Seems like there is something planned every day. But today.. today is a lazy day of rest, cartoons, bacon cooking (by Kristi), Sunday paper reading, blogging, flower photo taking, dog on lap, rain outside.. by the fire. Nice.
My hyacinth bulb was a mystery as to what color it would be and guess what? It's white! I'm usually a color person, but I love white flowers too.. like my white azalea and white lilac. I wish I had "smell-a-vision" on here, to share the aroma of this beauty! I had both of the little boys smell it yesterday, they were amazed! My Narcissus is hanging in there for now. See Grandpa in the background.. reading the Sunday paper.. with 2 boys on his lap who're watching Tom & Jerry cartoons.
Next to bloom will be the little iris. That will be fun to see what color it is!
Having Spring flowers blooming in your home in January is sublime! I might have to pick up some more!
Even Buddy the dog is relaxing today.. on the back of the love seat, in the middle of things to keep an eye on everyone and everything. Kristi is having coffee and checking her phone.
It's raining and wet here.. the moss is happy.
Soft, squishy, electric green moss.
I think I will crochet on Caleb's blanket today. I want to get it done so I can do something different. Kristi is making BLTs for everyone right now.. wish you could smell the house. Caleb said he doesn't want bread, tomato, lettuce, mayo or mustard. LOL!
Have a great week! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
What a lovely cozy day you are having there Teresa! It's a great day to crochet. I wish you would pop over for a visit at my craft blog...I have a lot more stuff on there. I just finished a chevron throw blanket for Garrett's room...no pressure...only if you have time. (thestitchpattern.blogspot.com)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday!
xx Shari
A beautiful, contentment rises from your words and photos. I am so glad you are having a lovely day.
ReplyDeletehugs to you Teresa,
Meredith
What a lovely day! Everyone looks so comfortale. I haven't had BLT's in a long time. That sounds so GOOD! I love caleb's request! I think I need to buy some flowers. It is too gloomy around here. I did get out and it felt marvelous! Funny how 30+ degrees can feel like a heat wave after the beginning of the week. There was a turn around of almost 60 degrees! And that doesn't count the windchills! It is so wonderful to see how loving your family is! Hugs, Teresa
ReplyDeleteHello Teresa what a wonderful day you are having. Love the spring flowers and the BLT's look delicious!! Children are so funny lol. We have had a lovely day as well. Very relaxed. Went for a short walk as I am trying to be healthier. Also did some crafting. Hugs Anne x
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect day. I am eagerly awaiting my spring flowers to bloom, cant wait to smell their scent.
ReplyDeleteOurs has been a cozy, happy, busy house today, me celebrating my birthday and my lovely family spoiling me!

Sounds like a very contented Sunday. Your spring blossoms look pretty on your table. Enjoy your evening. Heather
ReplyDeleteHey there Teresa, love blt's and got to love the funny things grandbabies do and say lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. Here the weather is heading for a week of over 100, mostly very high.
Buddy looks so sweet just relaxing.
ReplyDeleteLoving all of your spring flowers! I didn't start any paper whites this year and now I'm kind of regretting it!!

Such such a a happy, content day you had today Teresa. After being in your home I can picture each room and the warmth in them. :-) your spring flowers are so sweet. You inspired me, so when Dennis and I were at the store today I looked for some flowers to brighten my space but didn't find anything. It's rainy here this evening too, but was nicer earlier in the day so we took a drive out to the lake to see how the trailer fared in the 65+ mph wind yesterday. All is well and the lake is frozen over completely. Now I'm cozy in my chair crocheting and checking blogs. Happy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Love seeing your beautiful: flowers, moss AND Buddy :) I just watched the repeat of DA I missed last week and now for this week...what will happen??? xx
ReplyDeleteOh yum .. that toasted sandwich looks so delicious - bet it tasted good. I love your little indoor garden - that hyacinth (one of my favourites) is doing extremely well. I have one of last years bulbs showing about an inch above the soil - I'm hoping it comes to something. What a lovely day you all had on the weekend - times like that are so nice. Have a good week. xox
ReplyDeleteOur moss is very happy too AND I am very happy that it seems to be spreading in our Japanese garden:) Love your white hyacinth--I love white flowers.
ReplyDeleteDid you see we're supposed to get some sun this week? I am doing a happy dance in anticipation:)
Blessings,
Aimee
Hi Teresa, Any day that you can have a fire is a great day for me. Love your kind of lazy cozy day!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week. xoRobin
BLT's are my FAVORITE, Teresa. The food at your house always looks amazing. Kristi must be as good a cook as the rest of you! Your lazy day looks so relaxed and peaceful. I love seeing your flowers. My little paperwhite narcissus is all done now and I planted it in the yard this weekend, in the hope that it will take and bloom there from now on in the spring.
ReplyDeleteOur lazy day was on Friday after sending our oldest back to college and waking to a very gray day. Sure is nice just to hang out sometimes and not have to run here and there. Have a great new week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteLove rainy days..
ReplyDeleteWe had rain yesterday too. I tried to catch up on much needed sleep , but with a baby it's kinda hard
BLT look delicious!!!
I don't know where the time goes! I think there is a "Timestealer" who creeps into our home every day. I was really disappointed with my last pot of hyacinths, very quick to go over and the blooms weren't as big as usual, also almost scentless. Luckily the market man had some last week so I am hoping these will be better. Some bulbs are poking through the soil, roll on Spring! Have a lovely week with lots of time for special moments. Carol xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful white hyacinth. My favourite bulb. I tend to get hyacinths mainly before Christmas, yet they really are a spring bulb, aren't they. And after Christmas I start longing for narcissus. Unfortunately we do not tend to get them here until closer to spring. So tulips tend to be the flower for this time of year here.
ReplyDeleteSorry I have not been around (as much as I had hoped to) lately. Yet I'm so glad you were able to get a Scandinavian style advent chandelier before Xmas. Thanks for your always so lovely comments. And belated happy new year!
