Going Camping - Off the Grid for 2 Weeks

Hello my friends!  I'm just popping in to say goodbye for a few weeks.  We're going camping at our favorite lake.  Our family has gone as a group for almost 30 years.  It's kind of a family reunion camping trip.  For years we tented it and had some real tests of our fortitude with some rainy days.  Now we use a camp trailer, or caravan.  Dayle tows the trailer behind our Dodge dual tire truck and I drive our Ford Flex towing our two Sunfish sailboats and one kayak.  This photo of me sailing was taken by my sister Roberta and I took a good one of her, also.

I have put up a lot of photos of our camping trips over the years and have them all in one place.. HERE.  Feel free to have a look see if you'd like.  Each year there are different photos of different things.

So, we'll be off the grid, no electricity, no internet, etc.  But I am going to crochet a special gift while I'm there.  More on that later.  I'll miss visiting my favorite blogs but shall catch up when I get home.

A big thank you to Travis and Kristi for taking care of the chickens, fish and garden while we're gone.

Be sure to make the most of the rest of August.. even if enjoying your home is what makes you happy.  See you on the flipside!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. Good & faithful friend, hope you and your loved ones have a safe and wonderful family time camping. Down time from the internet is often a good thing. Don't fret, we will be here waiting to see what new adventures you have had this time. My brother & his wife leave this week too for their Scandinavian cruise. I feel like a hermit, lol.

  14. Lucky you!! Have a fantastic time. I'm sure being in a trailer is much better than a tent; those days are over for me. My hubby is retiring this Friday, and we look forward to adventures away from home. Be safe!
