Greetings my friends! We are really enjoying this holiday season! Dayle gave me this sleigh full of greens and flowers yesterday when we finally got out to do those errands we meant to do on Monday when the power went out. He grabbed this in Costco for me. :-)
Where do you hang your Christmas cards? I've always hung them over the archway from the dining room into the living room. It's neat as everyone who enters the house comes to the back door (if they know us) and you see them the minute you walk in.
One of the VERY BEST parts of blogging are the wonderful and TRUE friends you make around the world! In fact I've taken to sending Christmas cards to blog friends and some of them are sending them to me. I love that! I got this card yesterday from Wendy in Australia and included was a hand crocheted wash cloth! I love it, thank you!
Kristi brought home a dog toy for Buddy this morning from her shopping trip. He's nearly dismembered it already. :-)
I got this cute knitted design card from Kathy B! Adorable!
Robin sent me this adorable card with a cute sheep sporting a knitted hat and leg-warmers! LOL!
My blog and swimming buddy Gracie sent this card with her family - so much love there!
A quick snap of the living room.. no fire today.. but will be the scene of flying gift wrap in 2 days. And there will be a fire then.
A wonderful collage of family photos from Michelle in Kentucky.
I thought I'd show you three of my Christmas crafty things I've made in the past who are incidentally grouped in the dining room window. On the left is a snow scene I made, in the middle is a little house I painted using a section of 2x4 wood. On the right is a snowman I made out of white muslin, some buttons, stuffing, a piece of orange pipe cleaner, knit for a hat and a scrap of torn cotton for a muffler.. twig branches for arms. Kristi photo bombed this photo. :-)
OK.. I must dash.. Dayle and I have one more quick trip to make. Shhhh.. it's a secret. Santa is at work. I hope you have a lovely day.. and..

The floral arrangement is beautiful and you are truly blessed with all those wonderful gifts and cards from friends. Have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely display Teresa. Your cards look beautiful ours are hung from the bannisters at home. Just 2 more sleeps xx
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous festive sleigh, it looks lovely with your red beeswax candles and the dark wood of the candlestick. I love the American tradition of taking a holiday photograph for the card, I'd like to see friends here do that, it would be lovely to have pictures of them each year. Maybe it will catch on. I'm wishing you and yours the very happiest Christmas Teresa. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you Teresa and your family!! I thank you for your tutorial for making the beautiful beeswax candles! From a fairly new reader on your blog! Hugs, Barbara S. in Parrish, FL
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Teresa! Love your blog! Hugs, Barbara S. in Parrish, FL
ReplyDeleteI hang our cards on a jute string hung in our living room archway. They're clipped on with mini clothes pins. I LOVE to read and reread the cards we receive. You have gotten some rally cute ones. The sheep is so cute and the knitted one...very clever. That Dayle is a keeper, such a pretty floral arrangement. I saw Kristi first thing in the photo. She looks like a woman on a mission! :-). I hope you're enjoying the last few days of preparation. Love you Teresa!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteThank goodness my card and cloth made it before xmas lol xoxo beautiful photo's as always here Teresa.....now I just hope Gracie has got her little gift hee hee xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe are honored to have our card in your Christmas Card Welcoming Arch! It is my tradition to collect our cards in a special basket, but my mom displayed Christmas cards as you are. The sleigh is a wonderful festive addition to your decorations. I shopped at the Sandy Freddie's today and was startled when I heard a little voice say, "Gramma Gracie!" Mary, Jason and Joy were shopping, too! I had been away from home this morning and we all had not shared our itineraries :)
ReplyDeleteI am feeling well, but Hayley and Molly have barky coughs :( Wishing you well!!!!! xx
I enjoyed seeing your Christmas cards, Teresa. You are much loved. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteDayle has exquisite taste - the sleigh is absolutely gorgeous. I'm wishing you all a very happy, magical Christmas and every best wish for the new year too. Big hugs (and a special one for Buddy from Quincy). Dorothy xox
