My blog friend Gracie from Gray Sea Sailor welcomed a new granddaughter before Christmas. I was invited to come and visit yesterday which I was very happy about. This is little Sarah. Gracie crocheted the little bib she's wearing. Oh how I love to hold a little baby. Sarah joins her four adorable sisters. Sarah is also wearing the booties that I brought for her. They fit her perfectly with a bit of room to grow. :-)
A better photo of her cute little face.
Here are Gracie, her daughter and 4 granddaughters.. the 2nd littlest wasn't in the room at the time. I had the most enjoyable visit - I got to meet Gracie's son and her sister was also visiting from California. We chatted and the girls had fun talking with their guest, I invited them to come visit this summer and climb on our play structure, they seemed excited that it has a double decker playhouse with a slide and swings.
I then drove over hill and dale towards home through the countryside. It was rainy and windy and dark! I was glad to get home and joined the family just in time for dinner - Kristi made tacos - Caleb had three of them! A growing boy. I'm heading off to the pool again, Gracie said she'll try to join me. The pool has been busy - I am assuming a lot of new people are joining the fitness club to go along with their New Years resolutions - but it sure makes for an overcrowded pool. Hopefully they'll get tired of it quickly. :-) How are your resolutions going? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Oh my gosh, is she sweet or what!!! And all of those girls!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow old is Caleb? Our Noah is eating as if he has two hollow legs!!! He is going on 9.
I am still laying low and taking it easy. Maybe some knitting later today.
xo Kris
Sarah is a beautiful baby! How nice that you could meet her. She seems so big to me, I had early, small babies and my perceptions are a little skewed. It sounds like you had a nice visit. I'm glad the weather wasn't a problem for your drive. It sounds like Caleb might be heading for a growth spurt; my son always packs it away right before he's about to grow again.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is she and to be blessed with older sisters is wonderful. Sounds like a wonderful visit.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely baby. Love the photos of you all as well. had a bit of a blip with my resolutions but going to try and get back to them all, still trying to sort best swimming venue - there are three to choose from!!!! Hugs Anne x
ReplyDeleteAww, she is adorable! xx
ReplyDeleteI. Am. So. Very. Jealous. What a sweet time for all of you. You look wonderful holding hat sweet little baby and the booties look perfect! Isn't Gracie's sister sweet? Three tacos? My goodness, he eats like Piper! :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings always,
Betsy
How lovely and she is very cute and Gracie sure looks happy with all those grandgirls ☺☺ I have one on the way today.....wish us luck xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie of a baby! So far my resolution of working on my granny square blanket is coming along slowly. I am working on it, that's a move in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is such a heartwarming post, Teresa. How fun to meet this adorable baby. And, your booties are so cute. It's so nice that you and Gracie are blog friends and real in person friends. I hope you're week is going well. Hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteAwwww little Sarah is so cute and they're lovely photos of you too Teresa. The booties look great. I take my hat off to you for going swimming in the middle of your very cold winter. I realise the pool is probably heated but it would be a shock to the system when you leave the building. Xox
ReplyDeleteI am working a bit on my organizing a few things for the year. It's been slow as my back hurt since Friday but now it's better. I've got to do a few things tonight before bed time. Aw, your day sounds fun and glad you were able to visit with Gracie and her newest granddaughter! Babies are so precious and can't wait til spring for a little granddaughter in our family! Hugs and have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful visit with you, Teresa, and appreciate the sweet pink booties you made for Sarah. I did not make any resolutions for this year so that I don't have to worry about keeping them :) After going to the knitting group this morning, swimming this afternoon, then to the grocery store before coming home, I am tired...and headed for bed shortly. I'll rest up tomorrow so that I can make it to swimming on Friday! xx
ReplyDeleteAwe so sweet Teresa! Such fun to share with Gracie and meet her family!

Babies are just the best. Sounds like a lovely visit!
ReplyDeleteWell if it is any consolation Fireman's lap swimming and he says the same thing. Lots of new people with good intentions to MOVE in 2016 and get in shape. Wishing you a lane to yourself soon!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get to cuddle a baby -- and then give it back! Babies are sweet, but I'm too old to want one full time. Looks like your friend has a lovely family.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely gorgeous baby. And I love the bib and the bootees. Five girls, how lovely, no doubt it's a busy house! I hope you have a good swim. No doubt the New Year's resolutions will fall away soon! CJ xx
ReplyDeleteAwww little one how gorgeous you are !!! There is nothing better than a new babe to cuddle!!! Love those cute bootees too!
ReplyDeletekeep well

I tried to do my water exercises but the warm sea water had me floating on my back with my eyes shut behind my sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteAloha from Oahu.
