Hello! I went to visit my niece Johanna (daughter of my brother Robert) and her new baby girl, Rosemary yesterday. I was hoping the hat and booties I made for her would fit and the hat was just right and the booties, too! Yay! She is an adorable child, quick with a smile and sweet as can be. She joins a brother, Simon. We had such a nice visit. I got to hold Rosemary and give her little kisses on her head and soft hair. Isn't she a living doll? The blanket that we posed her on was the one I made for her brother when he was born. Pastel rainbow colored and in cotton - they are using it for Rosemary and it's so soft. :-)
I created this bootie design and even attempted to write up the pattern - but not one person who's tried it has been successful. LOL! But they fit just right.
My niece Johanna. She is the sweetest and nicest young lady. We had such a nice chat.
There was a flowering Quince bush in her neighborhood, so I snapped a photo out of my car window. :-)
They are such pretty flowers.
There were all kinds of amazing Spring flowers in Johanna's neighborhood and all over Portland... it's just gorgeous here in Oregon now. I'm off to swim soon, I hope you have a fabulous day!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Rosemary is beautiful. What a lovely baby. I really like her name, it's sweet and old-fashioned. That's my favorite kind of name for a little girl. The quince blossoms are so pretty. The color is stunning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful niece her smile lights up the room and such a lovely baby with a really pretty name. She certainly suits a hat, a real delight.
ReplyDeleteAdorable baby Rosemary in her beautiful new hat and booties...such a gorgeous picture! And how nice that your sweet and soft blanket is still being used for the next baby Teresa :) Love the flowers too.

Aww you got to play with the baby! Rosemary looks so sweet in her hat and booties, and to be laying on the blanket that you made is just an extra plus isn't it? How sweet. And I'm so happy for you that you got to actually see your beautiful things on the baby. The quince bush is gorgeous. We still have nothing blooming over here, in fact it's only 38° right now. Brrrr!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
So glad you had a lovely visit and the hat and booties are a perfect fit for sweet Rosemary :). I love that you know the names of so many plants, Teresa! I'm not familiar with Flowering Quince. It is beautiful! Hoping we have a happy swim today!!! XX
ReplyDeleteOh what a little sweet heart and do love the name Rosemary......my favorite herb and love the purple flowers too......those booties look so great perhaps I should try your pattern as I love to crochet xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOkay Teresa, first I have to comment on your previous post that I somehow missed. LOVE the sweet little violet vase! And I love the antiques you brought to share. The inkwell, so neat. And the old wooden box is very cool! I loved the beaded mocs too!!!
ReplyDeleteHayden is indeed growing up! They grow way too fast.
Now, onto the darling hat and booties. First, what a sweet baby! Those cheeks....I love the hat and booties on her. And also the blanket you had made for her brother. Portland is a wonderful place. Next time I go to Oregon, I must prowl around there!!!!
Hugs,
Kris
Oh she's as cute as a button, and what an adorable hat and booties. You're the best auntie! Love the flowering quince, it's one of my favourite flowers. I love the way the flowers are on bare twigs. So pretty. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous baby and your hat and bootees look perfect. The quince is very pretty. I went swimming this morning- it was so wet here though that I'm sure I needn't have bothered with the pool as there was a lot of water about outside :-) The pool will be closed for a week as they are refurbishing some areas. To be honest it could all do with sprucing up!!! Hope you had a good swim. Hugs Anne x
