Autumn is showing itself more everyday now. Our Japanese Lace Leaf Maple is turning red, the sun slants differently, the pastures are full of golden grasses.
The Chestnut Tree is laden with nuts in their prickly coats.
Out back pasture grasses are golden and swaying in the breeze. Dayle has not been able to mow it with his tractor due to his back issues, but our son Shawn says he will mow it later today.
My son Travis and his wife Kristi got home from their trip to Maui and he shared a few photos of their trip from his phone. Here is a sunset from the beach there.
This looks like an unusual variety of Hibiscus.. what a neat pistil in pink!
He's not here to identify this place, but the Pacific Ocean I know for sure! :-)
They drove to Hana and passed this waterfall, one of the Seven Sacred Pools.
The black sand beach.. gorgeous.
Another waterfall.
I love the big smile on Kristi during a hike.
I love this image.. my adventurous son found this on the black sand beach!
Wouldn't you love to jump in this pool of cool tropical water?
The kids about to go out to a nice dinner. :-)
Goodness.. it's sunny and hot here. Friday evening the rains are expected to return. I'm off to swim today. What are you up to? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Lovely photos, looks like they had a magical holiday. I’m just back from the cinema. A film about Queen Victoria which was very good. Enjoy your swim. B x
ReplyDeleteWow some lovely photos and Kristi sure looked happy, they both do ♥♥
ReplyDeleteLovely you sharing with us ☺☺
Beautiful photos of Maui and Kristi and Travis look like they had a wonderful time. Kristi's smile says it all. Maui is our favorite of the Hawaiian islands and I look forward to going back again someday. Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always, Betsy
Lovely photos at home and abroad! Thanks for sharing them. I worked on your shell on shell pattern at the baby blanket group this morning, got groceries this afternoon and caught up with more paperwork...planning to get the car DEQ tested, renew DMV registration, and get the oil changed tomorrow or Friday. Hope you had a good swim :) xx
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty. A joy to see the big smile on Kristi's face and so generous of them to share their holiday with us. That is one of the reasons I love about blogging I see so much of the World that I wouldn't normally see, a great education. I am going to collect the car and restock the fridge. Enjoy your swim.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking nice Teresa. How about that black sand beach? I've only ever seen one before and that was on the west coast of New Zealand at a place called Piha near Auckland. It felt weird ... we are used to very white sand on the beaches in Oz. That's a nice picture of Travis and Kristi - they look so happy. xox
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Kristi and Travis has a wonderful holiday, they both look so happy. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a wonderful trip. I wanted to go to Maui for our honeymoon, but it was too expensive and so we are going to Iceland instead. Much colder choice :)
ReplyDeleteWe are finally getting cooler temps the past 2 days after a late summer heat wave that affected many other states as well. My plans are to finish catching up on blog reading and then go out for a walk downtown to do some errands vs. driving there. Hope you enjoyed your swim and thanks for sharing the lovely Hawaii pics.
ReplyDeleteOh Hawaii! Such a beautiful state. Hope they bring macadamia nuts home to yoU!
