Spooky Decor

There is an allée of Sweet Gum trees bordering the property of Mt. Hood Community College on Troutdale Road and each year I admire them greatly.  So on the way home from swimming on Monday I pulled over on the side of the road and snapped away.

Each tree has it's own personality.. they turn at different times and different colors.. it quite literally amazes me.

Sooo pretty.

A shot down the allée showing how they are all in different stages of leaf change.

Kristi brought down the 2 bins of Halloween decorations so I've put up a few.. more to come.. :-)

I even have a creepy 17 inch skeleton lady with a cute little purple satin and black lace dress hanging from the light fixture.

My trio of handblown glass pumpkins.

My funny cat sculpture holding up his/her hat.. do you think this is a girl or boy?  There is a black cape blowing in the breeze behind.

I found this set up front at a pumpkin patch gift shop.. it's all porcelain.. the fence and the three cute little trick-or-treaters in front of it.  My porcelain scarecrow candleholder and the cute little witch figurine.. and my grey velvet pumpkin.

Kristi brought this decoration for me.. hey.. wait a minute!  :-)

Kristi also brought home this fun little decoration.

The rain is here.  It's much harder to pack up a swim bag and head to the pool when it's 46 deg. F and raining.  But I'm going to. I really am.  :-)  What are you up to this fine day?  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Hello Teresa. Those trees are just stunning!! love all your Halloween decorations. That latest that Kristi has bought you has made me chuckle. It's 8.40 pm here so my day is over. I have been doing some crafting - therapy after all that has happened re my mum. It has been wet and windy here. I ought to be swimming again but I don't think it will happen but need to do something! Take care Anne x

  6. Some of the trees around are gorgeous, aren't they. I love driving along that road, too, but have not made it over there recently. After our baby blanket group met this morning I picked up some groceries and have been texting back and forth with various family members about the CA fires. Carolyn is still without electricity and is over at our friend's house on the other side of Sonoma that has electricity. The sheriff visited their manufactured home community this morning, but they are not in mandatory evacuation yet. I know you understand how she is feeling and I appreciate your caring, Teresa. xx

  9. Isn't this time of year beautiful. Mother Nature sure can put on a show with so many incredible colors. Here In Oregon City driving up 7th Avenue there are so many different trees each with their own spectacular array of colors. It's a beautiful mix! Tomorrow is my birthday & I plan on enjoying every self indulgent minute of it.
PS. I'm loving this glorious rain.
