We had a mellow Halloween here - but the boys got dressed up and got to go trick-or-treating with their best friend and his parents. Kristi took them as Travis had his class last night, his company, Nabisco, is paying for him to get his electrician's license. He's been taking classes for the last few years. Here is Hayden on the left and Caleb on the right. Caleb is a dinosaur. Funny story, the costume came with a tail that needed stuffing.. so there I was, stuffing his tail with fiber fill.. cracked me up.
My daughter Amy, who lives far far away in Ohio, posted photos of my 2 granddaughters on Facebook.. Paige on the left is a pink unicorn.. and Jenna, who just turned 13, is a cat burglar!! Cute! I miss them so much.
Kristi got a "hippie" costume.. really took me back as I remember living through that era! :-)
Isn't she gorgeous? I remember wearing bell bottom denim pants and a suede vest that had fringe all over it.
Here is a photo when I was 20, visiting Dayle in Texas when he was in the Army, after he was wounded (shot through the femur while flying his helicopter on a scout mission) in Vietnam, awaiting discharge. We had visited Mexico so I was wearing a Mexican wedding shirt, my bell bottom jeans and was holding the flat brim brown felt Spanish style hat of Dayle's which I loved to wear. :-)
I made a cute little ridged pumpkin last night, I was inspired by my blog friend Lucy at Attic24. I have to make the little green stem later today.. after I swim. Be sure to click on her name and look at the fabulous pumpkins she made!!
Really fun photos Teresa, terrific outfits. Glad everyone had fun. Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteHa! Stuffing a dino tail is definitely a unique experience :). I like the look of the pumpkin pattern Lucy used and want to try it as well. It seems like we might get wet before and after swimming today in the rain ☔️ xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fun was had by all! I’ve been wanting to make some pumpkins but just have too many other things on my list to make that have taken priority. Maybe next year...wait, I think I said that last year! Have fun swimming!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
You have the cutest, most adorable grandchildren. And, it looks like they had a fabulous Halloween, too. I loved seeing all your photos. You are such a beautiful lady. I remember those bell bottom pants and long sleeve shirts. It must have been a scary time for you with Dayle in Viet Nam. It's a part of history that is hard to forget. Enjoy the rest of your week. We may be getting some rain here in SoCal! Pat xxx
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, I especially liked the witches paddle boarding out on the river and of course your vintage photograph, you looked very stylish. I hope you have a good swim today.
