I've been crocheting along on the blanket I'm making in Lucy at Attic24 blog's CAL (crochet along). I really love this pattern, it's not boring at all but is easily memorized. It's curvy and lacy and quite beautiful.
I snapped a photo of my sister Roberta giving the program at our Daughters of the American Revolution meeting on Monday - it was about the flags of the states of our members. It was very interesting. And just looks at woodwork of the furniture behind her. We had the meeting at the Old Spaghetti Factory and it's full of old antique furniture and stained glass windows. I enjoy that.
There were two of these fabulous windows in the meeting room.
I made my lunch yesterday of chicken tenderloins, cubed and sauteed in butter, garlic powder, pepper and NuNus cajun seasoning and an avocado with dill dressing. And I'm down past a number on the scale that I was anxious to get past. :-)
Well.. time to make lunch, pack my swim bag and head to the pool. Then home to crochet more and listen to Caleb's 2nd piano lesson. I am looking forward to when he is playing songs and leaning new ones all the time.
What are you up to today? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Yum! Lucy's blog is one of the first blogs I ever read. I love colours very much and it is the colours that drew me to her blog. I'd do random (but I am a random kind of girl) x
ReplyDeleteOh, that lunch looks yummy! I love that blanket, too. Glad you're back to crocheting as your work is always beautiful! I'm knitting and waiting for the youngest GK to arrive and liven things up!
ReplyDeleteLucy was one of my first blogs too. I enjoyed the scenery she posted and all of the color in her projects. Your new blanket is looking beautiful. Such a fun pattern. Teresa, I’m so happy that you’re sticking with your eating plan. I KNOW it’s not easy but you’re doing great. :-). Now, could you pass some of that willpower on to me. I’m not doing very well in this week away from home.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I have enjoyed reading your low carb adventure Teresa. Has it been difficult to pass up the breads, sweets, etc.? Please share more of your weight loss successes in the future ! Keep pressing on !
ReplyDeleteI know it's difficult to make better food choices Teresa. I know that you can do it!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is looking good Teresa and good on you with the low carb. Love bacon and egg in the morning here each day and losing a bit again xo
ReplyDeleteTHe first thing i'm up to is saying WOW Teresa. Hitting a number to get past is a HUGE motivator. Good for you. You are making me want avocados. I cant have any foods that are crunchy though as my mouth heals. Sometimes it aint worth it if you aint go a chip to go with it
ReplyDeleteWell done for sticking to your resolve to lose weight, sadly I am not doing as well. I need to be firmer with myself. Love the blanket, beautiful colour combination.
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is so pretty already! And your lunch of chicken and avocado looks and sounds delicious. Love those stained glass windows - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is coming along well Teresa. Lovely photos of your meeting! Enjoy your swim. Well done keeping to your new food life! Hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteI like your afghan. I know some one who's making a temperature afghan. Uses colors of temps and seasons u are in. Nice job Teresa, of sticking with your food diet. We had wind and rain today. Busy this week at work getting drawers organized in our new cash wrap. I'm finally done and waiting for a couple shelves to use the wasted areas. Happy night!
ReplyDeleteLove the afghan Teresa. The colors look wonderful together. I'd eat that lunch right this second and I haven't had breakfast yet. Have a lovely day.
