Changing Seasons and The Falls

Today is sunny and warm, but the season has definitely turned.  We had a good soaking rain on Wednesday and it cooled off.  Leaves are turning and some are falling.  So, time to put up the Fall wreath!!

I might need to get a pumpkin or two to set out there, and maybe a pot of yellow chrysanthemums.

My daughter took a new photo of Honey to share, isn't she cute?  :-)

I volunteered at Multnomah Falls yesterday - the road to the front of the lodge is still closed so we have to hike in from the freeway parking lot.  This is Multnomah Creek as it meanders to flow into the Columbia River.

Walking under the railroad bridge by the stream, loving the ferns growing on the edge.  I've been under the trestle when a train roars over and oh my.. it's thunderously loud and rather frightening.

Very little water coming over the falls right now.. remember this image for when I share a photo soon of the falls gushing with rainfall water.

I was working on my Woodland blanket while chatting with the visitors and got a lot of compliments on it.  One girl was so fascinated I convinced her to soon buy a G sized hook and a skein of worsted acrylic and find a YouTube video on how to crochet.  :-)

I picked this Double Delight rose yesterday and put it on the table between our easy chairs where the scent brings happiness to me.

I'm off to swim soon and will be happy to have the sun shining outside the big pool windows.  My thoughts are with those being hit by Hurricane Florence.  We just saw TV news coverage of the water and wind hitting the cities on the shore and it's awful.  Stay safe!!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. I, too, feel for those people being hit by Florence. It’s just awful. I’ve been under that railroad bridge at the falls when a train went over and it is loud, loud, loud! And yay! Another crochet convert. Way to go Teresa in recruiting more people to the fold. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
    Blessings, Betsy

  2. I love the photos of the walk toward your Multnomah Falls center. So pretty and peaceful and I can just imagine quite quiet. Your lovely wreath looks welcoming. I'm looking for some mums that are just budding as I want them to last through Autumn. What a lovely rose. Our area has thankfully been spared, but the poor folks to our south need our prayers. ♥
