Blanket Border Begins

Today is the day when Lucy at Attic24 blog announced the border of the Sweet Pea Trellis blanket border.  I was worried that I wouldn't have enough of the first two rows of green, but I found bigger skeins in my bag of Woodland blanket yarn of both so I snagged those so I'd make it all around the border.

I'm happy to say the border design is easy to do and I'm ready to fly along and get around the whole blanket.

So, this warm and pretty colored blanket is on my lap and will warm me for days.

Thank goodness I have her tutorial at my fingertips for when I get to the corner!  :-)

Here is Lucy's whole border design.. won't this be pretty on the blanket?

So, you can see what I'll be up to this weekend.  What kind of plans do you have?

((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. What a pretty, pretty border. But then I expected no less from Lucy. She always comes up with beautiful designs. You are going to have a very enjoyable weekend my friend. As for me, I’m trying to figure out the sweater pattern for Piper. Every time I think I figured it out, the pattern throws a curve ball at me! Stay warm. It’s snowing here again right now.

  3. It really is a joy to me to admire your blanket! The border design is so pretty and I am glad you plan to work on it this weekend...weather wise it should be a good time to be inside and warm and cozy. I plan to go to the art group at East Hill church tomorrow and then to church at Abundant Life on Sunday and maybe gather with a small group of women here Sunday afternoon. Happy Weekend to you and yours. xx

  7. The border is beautiful, Teresa. A lovely way to finish off your masterpiece. We have rain this weekend, so our walk will have to be at the mall. I enjoy our outdoor walks much better. Have a nice, cozy weekend. ♥

  11. That blanket is simply scrumptious! The riot of colors just call out that spring is coming! The first part of our weekend has been getting firewood chopped for the snow that is now arriving. Beautiful big fluffy flakes have started to fall. All outside chores are done and now we can sit back and enjoy the fire in the wood cook stove.
