πŸ’ Happy Valentine's Day πŸ’

πŸ’ Tomorrow is Valentine's Day - and since I won't be posting tomorrow (I blog on Mon-Wed-Fri) I thought I'd send you my wishes for a happy day tomorrow, today!  Below is a new pin I got to wear during the first few weeks of February.  It's a box of chocolates.  :-)

I asked Dayle to hold my Sweet Pea blanket up yesterday so I could see how big it was.. omg.. it's really long!  I seriously considered ripping out a whole section to shorten it a bit.. but I think I'm going ahead and putting in the next 3 rows of green and finish it off.  All the people doing this CAL are anxiously awaiting the border design by Lucy at Attic24, the leader of this project.  Some have gone ahead and designed their own, but I am determined to follow Lucy on this and will wait for her go-ahead.  Would you shorten it or leave it this long?

This little dog of ours is so cuddly!  Dayle snapped this of me holding her.  She happily lays on her back like a baby while you give her a belly rub and a chest scratch.  We love her.

I saw this on Facebook and thought I'd share it with you - the photographer has his name on it.  He said he did a 5 shot panorama photo of Multnomah Falls.  How cool is this?

I'm scheduled to volunteer at the falls tomorrow but some of the weather apps are predicting snow again so I'm not sure what will happen.  I'm okay with staying home!!

So, stay warm and dry and enjoy your day tomorrow.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Teresa,

More snow? You guys really aren’t used to this are you? We had about three more inches overnight, but are getting a break this afternoon and tonight before we get another dumping tomorrow. We’re getting all of our winter in one week this year! I went to my doctors appointment up on the hill this morning. The roads were sort of nasty but I made it fine and even ran a few errands on the way home since I haven’t been out of the house since last Friday.

I would leave the blanket as it is. I think longer is better than shorter...but that’s my opinion. I like long blankets because I’m tall. I’m curious as to what kind of border Lucy will come up with too. She has some beautiful designs.

Love your valentines pin. “Life is like a box of chocolates!” Was that a gift from Dayle? And finally, your sweet little Mocha is a doll. That’s one thing I miss with having a bigger dog. Chloe doesn’t sit on our lap the way our Annie used to. I miss a dog on my lap while I knit and crochet. Stay warm and safe and dry my friend and stay home from the Falls tomorrow if it’s icky. That is a beautiful picture of the Falls.

    Blessings, Betsy

    1. The pin was not a gift from Dayle.. he doesn't buy me jewelry without my suggestions.. nor has he ever gone on eBay or Etsy.. lol. I found it myself. :-)

  2. Hi Teresa - Love your brooch, love your little doggie and wow that picture of the snow is amazing. I can’t imagine that I’d cope with being so cold but it sure is pretty to see. Xox

  3. Oops .. forgot to say I LOVE your blanket too. Those colours are so pretty. I’d leave the blanket the size it is - looks like it would cover a bed but it would also be so cosy to wrap up in when the weather is cold. Look forward to seeing what border Lucy comes up with.

  4. ....and Happy Valentine's Day to you :)

Multnomah Falls is on my bucket list to visit after seeing it several times on Alicia Paulson's blog. Now I definitely want to visit when it snows.

    Kisses to Miss Mocha.

  5. Happy Valentine's Day...tomorrow 😘The photo of MF is beautiful, but the news reports make driving on 84 to get there sound like a bad idea...I wonder how many folk are driving there. I vote for leaving your blanket long, too. It is so lovely, and it will be fun to see what the edging looks like. I put some more rows on a baby blanket this morning and have made a few more heart bookmarks over the last few days, too. Love to you and yours! xx

  6. When it comes to blankets, in my opinion, bigger is better. You can snuggle up better.

  11. Happy Valentine's day to you, love your pin, very pretty. Glad your dog is a delight to you, that's so lovely. Your blanket is looking good, a couple of ladies at the knit & natter group are doing it too. Some purchased their own yarn so they have a unique look. If you've only a few rows to go, I'd keep going. If you should put it on a bed, it'll look nice pulled up high over the pillow. I know some people like the pillows exposed (after making bed) though, we're all different. Cathy x
