📱 💻 Do you play around with the wallpaper on your computer and smart phone? I do! So, I took a photo of my blanket project and uploaded the image for the wallpaper on my iPhone. Then.. I borrowed Dayle's iPhone and took a photo of the phone on top of the blanket. I then uploaded the image to a crochet group on Facebook, "Hooked on Attic24" and have been having fun watching the reaction from the other crocheters. So far 527 people have hit like! :-)
This morning I thought why not make it the desktop art for my laptop? :-)
Fun fun fun.
Google Chrome is my browser and they let you pick the "Theme" for their look.. I found this crochet one, too.
I'm 4 colors into my 2nd run of colors on my Dahlia blanket, 11 more to go before I start on my 3rd run. I'm enjoying the heck out of this crochet project.
We have a few resident Anna's hummingbirds that stay here year-round - here is one of them eating some nectar from our feeder, while it snowed yesterday! Poor little guys. When the weather is freezing we have to keep swapping two feeders so they always have something to eat.
How are you keeping warm this winter? Or for my readers/friends in the Southern Hemisphere, how are you keeping cool? :-)
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Im wearing my heated jacket in the house! well it is vest. It is currently recharging the battery so I have to put on my winter coat while I wait!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing photos of your gorgeous blanket! Such a pretty, cheering wallpaper for your devices. The photos remind me of the sunrise photo in my last post. This morning in our gray snowflake-weather I was knitting a cheery orange segment on the preemie blanket I am making. After lunch today I tried to get a photo of a hummer drinking from the feeder I have hanging outside the kitchen window. I have not succeeded yet but will keep trying :) I have been wearing multiple layers of clothes to stay warm and when home I have been running my little electric stove full blast! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI love your new wallpaper, Teresa! So pretty and cheerful. I use photos from our travels for my wallpaper. The sweet little hummer is very appreciative of your generous alternate feeders. We've had a mild winter this year. Rain instead of snow is falling here. There is hardly a day that we can't walk the trail. We do have our gas logs going in our Florida room that helps keep us toasty.
ReplyDeleteThe wallpaper of your blanket is pretty cool, I just love those colors!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Teresa looks awesome. Here some rain has come xo
ReplyDeleteAir conditioning! It's hardly been turned off in months and I'm really not looking forward to our latest electricity bill. I need to remember it was worth it. Love your photo on photo of crochet screen shots. It crackedd me up and gave me a much needed chuckle. xx Susan
ReplyDeleteYour post has made me feel sooooooooooo happy! Chufed to see you enjoying your blanket journey so much xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteLucy, I'm so pleased that you designed this beautiful blanket and picked out such lovely colors! You're the best!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
DeleteWhat fun you are having on your devices, it looks amazing. Glad you are enjoying the process of crocheting the wonderful blanket.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! I absolutely love your wallpaper Teresa. I also use Chrome on my MacBook Air so now I have a new thing to learn. I want pretty wallpaper too! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou and Dayle are so sweet to take such good care of the hummingbirds all winter. I didn't even know they stayed around. I wonder if they're here too? It has't been above freezing in almost two weeks so I don't know how we could possibly keep the feeders thawed enough for them. Dennis shoveled again this morning. I saw on the news that we have already had twice the average January snowfall and it's only partway through the month! More coming today, tomorrow and Saturday too.
I'm going to try to figure out the photo thing. You may be getting a text from me at some point. Ha!
Blessings and love,
Betsy
Your wallpaper photos are so cool. I'll have to try that with my blanket. I'm a slow crocheter so I'm trying to keep up with Lucy's updates. (I know 'falling behind' isn't a sin, but I want to make sure I finish the project)
ReplyDeleteIts been quite cold these past couple days. Loved seeing snow on foothills while I was driving to work Wed. I enjoy seeing your colorful afghan and I'm your phone and computer!!! I need to get our bird feeders up soon as birds enjoy food this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI don't fool with wallpaper on my devices or backgrounds or anything (guess I'd rather knit or read or stitch - lol). It has gotten cold here again and snow is forecast for tomorrow. I'm wearing fleece leggings, a turtleneck and wool sweater. Hand-knit socks and boots!
ReplyDeleteSo blessed to have moved away from the cost of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa which is very humid this time of the year, (I was there for 32 years). I am now living in Johannesburg South Africa, which has a much milder summer (still most days in the 30's Celsius - night are fortunately 15 degrees or there about. Love following your blog Teresa, from sunny SA
