Today was the day that we headed to the beach for our 2 week vacation to celebrate Dayle's birthday! Our wonderful son Travis and DIL Kristi helped us get ready to go and he even took a day off to tow the trailer to the beach for us and backed it in and helped Dayle do all the hookups. Kristi even brought the boys down to help out, too.
I followed in my car so we could use it to do all our sight-seeing and running around. I watched them get it all backed in.
See Dayle on the far right? He used a walkie-talkie to guide Travis in.
I used to have to do the leading in for Dayle and it was stressful for me so having our son do that is blissful for me.
Here we are, all set up, on the outside anyway. We have lots to stow away, our gear and supplies inside. But this is our view. You can see our son going for a walk down the road. He and Kristi and the boys enjoyed watching the waves roll in.
I captured this sunset from the door. So pretty.
I brought my Autumn colored Woodland blanket for this trip. I looked up and saw Mocha enjoying the sunset. :-) Or is it the seagulls or other dogs on the beach?
And it kept getting prettier!!
Dayle got the last and this shot for me.. he put the wide-angle lens option on my iPhone and got the headland on the left.
Day is done, gone the sun, from the hills...
from the lake, from the skies...
I have a little collection of tiny little Fenton hobnail vases. I have a white, pink, green and blue. I wondered how many colors they made them in and recently ran across this little yellow one. Isn't it sunny?
It really looks cute with the others.
My friend Shirley and her husband John our house-sitting for us and she did some re-arranging of my china cabinet and I just love it!!
This vintage Fire King Philbe loaf pan with cover arrived today. I foresee a pumpkin bread baked in this beauty.
And this is a new tea towel. And yes. I am kind of obsessed. It could be worse. I could be like some people who collect cars and have 20 of them in the yard. Right? :-)
I am looking forward to tomorrow. Fresh sea breezes and some sight-seeing is in order. Thanks for visiting!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Oh watching the campers ...such fun . Your collections
ReplyDeletealso brilliant and fun. And Mocha...sweet Mocha
So pleased you’ve made it to the ocean. Those walkie talkies remind me of our camping trips with the boys in Canada. We had a 29 foot RV and managed without walkie talkies but we were intrigued to see everyone use them. In the end the boys had to have a set and used them when they were playing in the woods at home. No mobile phones in those days.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful vacation, you both certainly deserved it after the last few months. B x
Enjoy your time away at the sea Teresa and Dayle and Mocha 🌷🌷 Look forward to seeing all you enjoy xoxo

Oh my goodness, what a stunning spot. It will be amazing to wake up there, right next to the sea. Bless your son and his wife for helping you get there and settle in. Your collection is looking lovely, and the tea towel is brilliant. I love that the loan pan has a lid, no need for cling film! It's good to have something like that that you enjoy I think. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteWe all have our obsessions Teresa!! Please don't stop your collecting and posting your photos of your collections they are a delight to see.....I drool (sort of!!) when I see all that Jadeite and now the Fenton vases! They are in the perfect place in that window where the sun reflects off of them and makes them standout. You have chosen a beautiful place to have your holidays. Mocha looks so comfy there on top of the settee. Incredibly beautiful sunset photos!! Enjoy! Amanda x
