Against all odds.. we had sun today! Sweet hubby made us some crispy cod fillets, mashed potatoes and corn for lunch before I headed off to go swimming. On my trip to the pool I go through Springdale and over the Stark Street Bridge and up the side of the cliff with the Sandy River far below. There are 2 waterfalls on the side of the road, this small one is my favorite, it's very pretty. I pulled over to the side of the road and used my iPhone to snap this shot of the sun sparkling on the top of the falls. There are little green sprouts on the bushes! Spring is coming!
A shot further back.. see the sun on the water and lighting the ferns?
Mossy green-ness.... After swimming I went to the historic downtown Gresham to visit a spinning and wool shop - I passed by the Gresham History Museum and got this photo.. I have always loved the architecture of this building with the brick work, the half timbers, the stained glass. Wouldn't you love a house like this? The wool shop wasn't open.. dang.
When I got home, hubby was on the deck cleaning the pond a bit and blowing the debris off the deck. I snapped a shot of the Daphne bush by our deck.. I can't wait until the buds open up, it's the most fragrant flower!
Our daffodils started to make progress to open today.. :-)
Almost! One single daffodil is in bloom. Sweeeeeeet!
One of the bushes in our yard is ready to bloom.. I'm not sure what this one is! :-)
Now I need to get busy making some more earrings and necklaces for Vista House. I'm doing some volunteer work for Vista House tomorrow and I think we're visiting with our youngest son and his family on Sunday. I hope you have some fun plans! Thanks for stopping by and Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Those would be the same daffs I have popping here too. But, we are not as green overall. Enjoyed seeing your day.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots with your iphone! Happy St. Paddy's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. Here in the south we have all kinds of things peaking up and blooming. I can't wait! In a few more weeks I can get the flower pots planted woohoo!
ReplyDeleteSan Jose Ca is wearing some green too as well as some lovely flower blooms. Sorry the yarn shop was closed, but loved the pictures of what you saw today! Blessings to you and yours <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs again, the first one is stunning. You saved yourself some money there with the wool shop being closed :) x No need for us to be buying Alpaca for a while!
ReplyDeleteYour pics are gorgeous! Don't you just love Spring? It's my favorite time of the year. I visited some of your other sites and WOW! You are a very talented "Artist". You have inspired me one again. Take care and have a great weekend.

Such a gorgeous environment! And I love that building in Gresham! Our daffodils were early this year because of the warm winter we've had! My azaleas are in bloom now - and the Bradford Pears are nearly done with their bloom. The pansies are gorgeous right now. The color that follows the drabness of winter is always such a thrill. This is a great time of year to take photos! Thanks for sharing your beauties! Hugs, Annette
ReplyDeleteWhat joy...your flowers are so far ahead of ours...it has been cooler here.We were off to a good start but then our weather changed!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment you left me the other day! What a blessing you are to me.
Happy Weekend...xoxoxo
