Hello my friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. We had pleasant weather and brilliant sunshine. The sun is slanting through the window and warming us as I type. I was able to crochet this heart doily over a few hours - it went fast! I used KnitPicks "Curio" #10 size cotton crochet thread in Hollyberry, Natural, Cornmeal and Lichen. The link to the pattern is available free in the post below. Using thin thread this one came out 4 inches across. You can use heavier thread or yarn and a larger hook for it to come out in bigger sizes.
See the cute little milk glass hobnail vase? My BFF (best friend for life) Shirley found it at a big antique glass show last weekend and picked it up for me and gave it to me on Saturday as an early birthday gift. Sweet!
My purple sheep Periwinkle is my official "spokes-model" now. :-)
I just love this new little doily, it will be loved in this old farmhouse.
We had a "Sisters" lunch on Saturday. We met at Bumper's Grill and Bar in Fairview, Oregon. It's our "go-to" steak place. It's funny as it's a little unassuming restaurant in an out-of-the-way place in a strip mall! But boy do they make a great steak. They lay the perfectly grilled steak in a little pool of bordelaise sauce and make their own twice baked potatoes. All but one of us had the steak and all enjoyed it.
Our honorary sister Shirley brought her niece Tamara so there were five of us.
Tamara was wearing an interesting looking pair of earrings and this matching necklace.. she got it in Maui, Hawaii.. it's sea glass collected by a man there and he makes these wonderful pieces of jewelry with it. The necklace was so neat as it had glass in aqua, lime, pink, blue, green and clear. Loved it!
I have a busy day ahead, I'm attending my Daughters of the American Revolution meeting where I'm to give a presentation about myself and my patriots that served in the war. Then I'm off to swim. It will be nice to swim with the sunshine streaming across the pool. I hope you have a fun day planned. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I love that doily and I am also a collector of glass, mainly big goblets and vases plus a couple of pretty candle sticks. An antique glass sale sounds very appealing.

The vase is lovely, and the sea glass is so pretty and reminds me of the pretty colors of the pool water in sunshine which I hope you enjoy this afternoon.
