I am heading back to the hospital today to sit with Dayle and keep him company. He came through surgery good. They actually found three holes at the hernia site! They had to cut out the mesh installed in his last hernia op and put in a bigger piece. Poor guy. He had an abraded cornea during the operation somehow and another issue which I won't go into detail.. but it was a tough night for him. I just talked to him and he sounded better and if feeling better. I'll go in and visit and spend time with him and it looks like another night and day in the hospital.. but we'll see. This is the view from his hospital room! But he can't see it from the bed.
While I was in the surgery waiting room two ladies walked through with their big brown labradoodle - he's a Therapy Dog and what a darling he was. He was so well-behaved, posed for selfies and photos and liked to be rubbed and scratched. He sure made time go faster for me. What a neat program.
He had a really neat name which I don't remember. Look at that face!
The sun was really low the other day and was streaming through the house at unusual angles.. I enjoyed seeing this Dracena "Lemon Lime" with the sun shining through it.
When I crochet a hat I like to photograph it.. right? I stuck this hat on the bottom of a vase but the shape looked wrong to me.. so I started looking online for a proper hat stand.. of course I found one I loved, an antique with a full wooden top for forming hats and a stand painted on it in reds and blues.. but it was too spendy.. according to Dayle.. so I cheaped out and got this little metal stand on Amazon. But it works! I may have to paint the bottom in bright colors. :-)
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Thank you for the update on Dayle. I've been thinking of him and praying for him. What a lovely view from his room... it's just too bad he can't see it. I thought about taking Chloe for therapy dog training since she's so good with everyone and so calm. But she's about 10 years old now and I think a little old to start a whole new career. Ha ha! Love the hat stand. I'll be continuing to think of Dayle and you too. Keep us posted on how he's doing. And take care of yourself too.

ReplyDeleteDayle has been so very much on my mind. I know that this is a painful recovery. My Mom's was done robotically, and there were 6 abdominal incisions. They did use the mesh patch....Hope Dayle feels better each and every day. Hugs to you too.
