Hello! I'm as happy as I can be! It's snowing! And we're doing more decorating and tidying.. and it's looking so festive around here!
I took some photos outside and then Dayle took my iPhone outside and got some more.. he's getting quite artsy and got this neat one with the lamppost in it!
The snow was collecting on the bamboo and papyrus by the pond.
Oh how pretty it is.
Lots of fluffy white flakes.
Our house.. which needs a new red paint job next summer.. right?
A peek of the barn from the driveway.
The deck.. do you see something cute? Kristi's sister found this VW bus cooler on a trip to Texas and bought it for her and gave it to her for her Christmas present!! :-)
Are you chilled from the walk outside? Please come on in and warm up by the fire! And have a seat on the new sofa! Each end actually reclines, by a motor activated by a slim lever in the side of the cushion. The chair is also a motorized rocker recliner. Oh my, it's very comfortable.
A better view of the sofa. I still have some decorating to do but it's mostly done! I think I need a few Christmas pillows for the sofa.. right?
Dayle cleaned the fireplace and the glass doors, laid a fire and lit it for me.. isn't he a dear?
Such a cozy room at Christmas time.
My beloved Jim Shore Santa, sleigh and three reindeer.
I think I'll go in and do some more piano practicing.. do you play an instrument? I see my 2 wood firkins under the piano, I think I need to put those somewhere else, and the rope you see if from 3 very large glass fishing floats that I keep under the piano because.. I'm not sure where else to put them! LOL!
I'll have more photos to show you as I finish up the decorating.. how are you coming on yours? Have fun during this season! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Pretty snowy photos and your Christmas tree and decorations are gorgeous. Come to my house! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love snow and your photos are just perfect. Looks like big flakes. The best! Your new furniture looks so comfortable. We are thinking of buying something new, as well.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Teresa. It looks so cozy and welcoming and I know from experience that it truly is. Love your new sofa and chair too. Enjoy your snow!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Your home is positively COSY!! And the snow is picture perfect!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you played. I have what's called an upright grand piano. Much smaller footprint. I used to play a lot but not so much anymore. I love your new couches - they look very comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI got most of the snow during my lunch hour and then got to watch it fall for a while back at work. Perfect start to December.
Your almost winter wonderland is lovely. We had snow showers then it left. Sigh! I put our the small fiber optic tree. Need to find plush animals around. Your home looks cozy and warm.
ReplyDeleteThose are some mighty big snowflakes. Right on cue, everyone seems to have gotten snow at just about the same time. That VW cooler is pretty darn cool! Your home is super cozy and inviting. I think I'd sit right down on the couch and never want to leave. Unfortunately, I don't pay an instrument. Always wanted to learn the piano or guitar. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeletePerfect winter weather at your pretty home Teresa.
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations. It all looks quiet magical.
Love Jacquie xxx
How pretty the snow looks Teresa but how beautiful your home is....so snug. Keep warm xx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your lovely new sofa set. Those winter snow pictures are beautiful! Pat
ReplyDeleteIt is all looking wonderful, like a picture postcard of Winter wonderland. Indoors is so warm and inviting, beautiful décor and a stunning new array of seating, a real delight. I don't play an instrument, not well anyway but my three daughters all play piano and violin well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post this is dear Teresa! Your cosy Christmasssy home is so heartwarming! I love your new sofas and they will be so comfortable. And the snowy pictures of the red barn!!! You know how I love the red barn! And even more when there is snow! Your house looks adorable there in the snowy landscape....wishing you all a wonderful December!

Oh it looks so pretty and festive with you. Even the weather is perfection. Your living room is gorgeous, so warm and welcoming. I play the piano a little. Or I did many years ago. My middle boy has just asked if he can have lessons. It would be lovely to have a pianist in the house. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteSoooooo pretty Wow. im forging ahead with mailings and wrapping first
ReplyDeletelikely tree up thursday! your sofa awesome!
That's the first time I've seen your piano. . . wow! It's a beauty. I didn't know you played. You asked if we played an instrument, well as my profile photo shows, I love my guitar. The barn photos are wonderful, what big snowflakes you have :) I think your home would look wonderful painted red to match the barn. It's a warm and cozy look.
ReplyDeleteI love your socks on the fireplace and the photo of the boys decorating the tree. The magic of Christmas is being able to see it through the eyes of children.
Happy Holidays!
Connie :)
How beautiful Teresa! The snow pictures are wonderful - I especially like the one with the lamppost. Love your new sofa and chair...I want to come and knit at your house!! I took piano lessons for a number of years, but have not played in decades. We just had our piano moved from our house to our son's this past fall. His girlfriend plays and he wants to learn.
ReplyDeleteOh my. Envy isn't a very festive or attractive quality, but I've got it in spades for your lovely house. Especially your piano! I haven't had one since I became an adult and I miss it dearly. You've done a great job decorating your home, which looks extremely attractive in the first place. We've had snow for a week or more (I'm in the interior of BC): you must have received yours courtesy of the storm that whitened Vancouver yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYay! Look at that snow. It's so pretty, especially your barn, like Currier and Ives. :) I always enjoy seeing your Christmas decorations. The boys are so big! I hardly recognized Hayden (I think he's the older/bigger one?). I hope you're having a good week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You got such good photos of the snow...the flakes were so amazing over here, too. The girlies managed to scrape together enough snow to make some snowballs, but it is all gone today. The new furniture and your Christmas decorations are perfect! I hope you will let me hear you play the piano someday. I had three years of piano lessons and eight of clarinet lessons, but can not play anything now although I fiddled around playing on my keyboard the other day...first time in a looooong time :) The cooler is neat! I am feeling better and going to knitting group tomorrow. I hope you have a great day and I look forward to seeing seeing you on Friday! xx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - everything is gorgeous. Your new furniture is lovely too. I really like the photo of your house from the outside. Reminds me of a picture on a greeting card.
ReplyDeleteOOOOhhhhh snow, I want snow. I have started decorating you are doing well and everything looks very festive, Hugs Anne x
ReplyDeleteThe snow is so beautiful. Love how beautiful your home looks decorated, so warm and inviting. Your new sofa and chair is perfect, it looks comfortable and will last forever eing leather. Our sofas recline also, my husband and boys can't sit in it unless they are reclining, me I like to sit up straight. Enjoy this special time of year Teresa.
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa! What a cozy ideal Christmas home :) Thanks so much for sharing it with us, I am in awe when it comes to such cozy things..lol :))) I look forward to more such pictures to create a holiday mood for all of us. Sending best wishes and blessings to your family!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the snow. Your home looks beautiful and your new furniture fits in very well doesn't it. xx
ReplyDeleteIt's all looking very cosy inside, love the outside snowy pics.
ReplyDeleteI really like the colour of the house now, I'm thinking less is more....the red barn is great, but maybe two red buildings will be too much?
